Aligning Human Systems, Purposes, & Goals
Within Nature💖
[Nature Series, Video #1]
NATURE #1
Welcome!
This video is about Nature’s perfectly orchestrated economy, & about our human role within it. What is the purpose of the human species in this economy of Nature; & how do we best access the power of that role?
Currently, we misunderstand our role & our relationships in Nature. This leads us to reject the amazing role Nature has prepared for us. We take more than our share – we are the cell stealing from the host, like a cancer cell. But it doesn’t have to be this way!
We often hear ofthe power of Nature. But what about the power of humans within the power of Nature’s synchronized & balanced systems. What does the power we were meant to have, in balance with all of Nature, what does it look like?
I’m Dr LW, & this video is about Nature’s Magnificent Economy, & about our Human problems & our amazing potential roles in Nature’s economic system. We will look at the roots of problems,
some symptoms of these problems,
& at some solutions. We can access the powerful roles & purposes we are meant to have in Nature. We can & we must dismantle faulty personal & social constructs, & be willing to learn about, & align ourselves within, Nature’s constructs that can provide for & support us, so that all of us can thrive.
I’m going to highlight 4 important areas of understanding,
& then I will go into 2 of these more deeply.
Before I do that, keep in mind,Nature is a perfectly balanced system of all life. Nature’s economy is like a spider’s web,
where each speciesis meant to be a valuable rung in the web. This system is carefully determining its allocation
of inter-related resources.
The production & consumption of resources as a whole, works towards fulfilling the needs of all life within Nature. By serving the web, & cooperating within this collective well-being, we can personally experience strength, peace, abundance, & the balance of the whole, even when the wind is blowing the web.
Know that Man-made patterns of behavior that do not align within this web, will not survive over time.
And so, to continue to exist, & to be a valuable species to all of Nature, we must become a functional species in the web of life. We must keep fear & greed from infecting & directing our minds & our systems.
We must have compatible & cooperative relationships with all of Nature,
& also in our relationships within our species!
Most people believe they are already doing this. But ask yourself, do you believe any life is “less valuable” than any other?”
In the moments you believe you can judge the value of one life over another, or one group over another, those are moments you have stepped away from thoughts that benefit you & align you with all lives.
Systemic misalignment effects every part of our lives – our health, our relationships with each other & with other species, & even our survival as a specieson this planet.
We are born into valuable lives. But then we learn personal & social constructs that separate us from each other & blind us from the amazing roles we are designed to activate & occupy in the abundance of Nature.
The 4 essential areas I want to highlight are:
1st The economy of Nature. which carefully manages wealth & resources, & balances production & consumption, to support the collective of all lives.
The 2nd is Our human role in Nature.
Our relationship within Nature is like a family system we are embedded in & dependent on. It is a perversion to see Nature as a commodity we are not a part of, & that we rule over. Albert Schweitzer said, "QUOTE We like to imagine that man is nature's goal: but facts do not support that belief. END QUOTE"
Although we are not the goal of nature, each of our lives is meant to hold a very importantrole as a part of Nature. And here is where we find our utmost purposes & meanings.
# 3 are The Values of Nature,
which we are made to live in accordance with,
along with all of life. Each life is alive because of its will to live. But we have created our values & social constructs according to a compartmentalized ethics, meaning we see human ethics & moral principles as separate from the ethics we mentally construct for, or about, the rest of the Natural world. This misaligns us, & forces us into an unnecessary choice between our will to live & our will to love all others. This is a faulty mental & relational construct. In truth, we must cling to both our will to live, & our will to love as the seeds forsustainable systems. I will be doing 1 or 2 future videos focusing specifically on the values of Nature, & how to align ourselves within these, rather than aligning with values made from the construct that we are apart from Nature.
And # 4 are The Cyclical & Seasonal Patterns of Nature. The economy of Nature uses TIME as a construct to structure & support the patterns of life.
It is important that we learn to connect & flow, both personally & socially in time,
with the patterns Nature places within each of our lives,
within our species,
& that our species is placed within.
Nature can then empower our human part in this process of enhancing & amplifying all life. This in turn supports our value in the web of life.
& I will be doing 1 or 2 future videos focusing on aligning with these patterns, seasons, & cycles of our lives & all of life.
Due to the size of these 4 critical topics, this video will focus on the 1st 2 areas.
Nature’s economy,
& our human problems & potential for valuable roles within Nature.
This video is an abbreviated version of what I would like to share. So if you hear me mention an area you want me to expand on in future videos, please note that in the youtube comment section, on your screen, below this video.

The point of this channel is to discover the best of ourselves, & to enrich the lives of all we touch.
First, I am going to share a broad overview of Nature’s economy.
And then I will look at 4 areas of our human roles & positions. Those 4 areas will be:
1*The power & unique abilities we are meant to have as a species that can drive & improve the well-being of all life.
2*The self-imposed Dysfunctional social contracts
& constructs,
& collective Perceptual Disabilities
we use to continue destructive patterns, & to blind ourselves from seeing how to participate in,
& grow, the well-being of all life.
*3rd some Solutions to Solve our dysfunctional perceptions & patterns, & align ourselves with the supportive economy of Nature we are made of & operate within.
And 4th-Immunizing ourselves from extinction.
And Please do take the time, even if it is in chunks of time, to watch this whole video, as I do cover a large variety of topics.
Here is an Overview of Nature
& of Nature’s economy!
Humans are interdependent within Nature. We are not somehow independent, or opposed to, any part of Nature. There are some dictionaries that disagree, & state that humans are independent of Nature. But the idea that we are independent, gives us the illusion that we are somehow separate, & possibly in competition with, Nature’s economy. So I want to be clear that Nature includes humans, it includes what we know of,
& also includes much that we don’t know of. Nature includes all phenomena of the physical world collectively,
& all the features, forces, & processes that exist or happen such as the weather, reproduction, growth, plants, animals (including humans), all the variations of landscapes, the sea, the mountains, & other features & elements of the earth. We are of Nature. What we create becomes a part of Nature, until Nature can no longer hold what we create. We will either continue to exist in Nature, or we will cease to exist in Nature.
It is tempting to ask ourselves, "How should we understand nature, in order to save ourselves?" But this is NOT the best question. A better question is, “What role gives value & purpose tothe human species in the overall economy of Nature; & how do we best access the power of that role?” The economy of Nature is a system, carefully balancing the production & consumption of all resources, to support the collective of all life. Our value in the economy of Nature can only be found by learning about our unique role in the fabric of life we depend on; not by trying to learn to control or rearrange the fabric.
Within the power of Nature’s balanced systems, what are the unique abilities we have, & what are the purposes of these? What makes us valuable?
We have unique abilities that can uplift the quality of all life on this planet, or we can use these abilities to drive our relationships into destabilization, & our species into self-termination. (And I will get to these abilities in a few minutes). Despite any abilities, we will not survive as a species gone rogue or a cell becoming a cancer. But, if we work within the patterns of nature, we can empower our value in a process that enhances & amplifies all life, making us valuable in the larger web of life. Thankfully, we can resolve our imbalances by looking to nature as our leader, our relationship teacher, our resource manager, our health provider, & the body of life on which we depend for ourlives, our purposes, & our abilities to thrive. A life, detached from Nature, cannot survive; all are embedded together. It logically & directly follows that to devalue any life, is a step towards devaluing your own life.
Nature cannot be tamed. We will never control Nature into doing our will. We are in the will of Nature, & so we can learn our purposes & thrive by synchronizing our steps within the activities of Nature. Aligning our will, our steps, & our desires with those of all life develops our power to thrive.
Because the economy of Nature is a balanced web, when we are aligned & cooperate within the web, we benefit from its strength. When we don’t align & cooperate, we struggle & suffer. Man-made patterns & understandings in opposition to Nature’s economy cause harm to its web, & will naturally be removed in the timing of Nature’s economic design.
WE know the symptoms of our misunderstandings in the pain & disfunction we experience mentally, physically, emotionally, relationally, & all around the globe. We don’t see this in other species, except in the impact humans have on those species.
Thankfully, Nature signals us, when our thoughts & actions are unhealthy. A symptom is a signal that there is an underlying problem causing it. If we think the symptom IS the problem & is the main thing to solve, we don’t solve the actual problem causing the symptom. When we solve a symptom without solving the root problems, we get replacement symptoms – again signaling that there is an underlying problem interrupting health & well-being. We have to go to the root of the problems & be willing to stop feeding them.
So, what did nature provide us with that gives us the capacity to create our value, or to create problems? Keep in mind that our human minds have the power to imagine & to think in the abstract. WE can imagine & create, from constructs that hold a reverence for all life; or we can create utter destruction for ourselves & cause the temporary destabilization of whatever we are impacting.
What can we do to change & align with Nature’s wisdom; meaning how can we use our amazing minds to benefit all life?
To understand the powerful role Nature has prepared for us, & the potential for wisdom that Nature offers us, we are going to look at the 4 areas regarding human roles & positions I mentioned earlier - 1st Our power, 2nd our problems, 3rd our solutions, & 4th our immunization from extinction.
1-Our power & unique abilities to drive the well-being of all life.
We must see our relationship within Nature as a family system we are embedded in & dependent on. Although we are not the goal of nature, our species, & each of us, hold a very important role in Nature.
An essential problem in the foundation of our man-made patterns & understandings is compartmentalizing our species as apart from, or above, other species. We objectify nature, rather than understanding the powerful responsibility held in our role within Nature. Because we see everything as human-centric, we organize ourselves from a limited human-centric point of view, living in an imaginedsilo of scarcity, while surrounded by the abundance of Nature. In our imagined isolation, we fear scarcity,
& we create dysfunctional patterns of thoughts, beliefs, & behaviors. We blindfold the underlying wisdom Nature gave us.
What is this hidden wisdom? Although no amount of effort can make nature prioritize human life over other life, we have a unique type of imagination. This imaginationallows us to create what is beneficial to all life, but only when it is based in integrity & reverence for Nature’s entire body.
Human brains can generally understand when a human system is falling apart & can look back to see the downfall. But brains can’t see what is evolving. However, we CAN imagine, envision & then consciously create. Humans are able to imagine potentials that could emerge through particular synergistic interactions. We can learn from Nature’s systems of balance & well-being, & we can input this information into our imaginations to create intentional transformation to support all of life, including our own.
Our imaginations & our ability for abstraction are tools. They could empower us to build systems to support & foster sustainable well-being for all life. But strangely, we have used our imaginations to create false narratives, telling ourselves we can have roles that we can’t have – roles apart from, & not controlled by nature, & that we can control Nature. But these are lies! When facts don’t support our imagined narratives, we use our imaginations to create additional illusions to support unrealistic narratives. These illusions are faulty constructs masquerading as solutions. We must stop imagining & creating what is destructive & based on false constructs of separation. (And I will give examples 0f these constructs in a few minutes.)
Imagine if humans are the brain, within the body of all life on earth? What kind of mind would we be? What if this is a role we could have, if we used love & wisdom to motivate our participation & power? We could go beyond what we currently understand as limits.
Our purpose in Nature requires both synchronizing within the activities of Nature - meaning following her lead to know our steps- & allowing the new development that emerges – rather than trying to control it. We can thrive, if we create with Nature. To find our proper & magnificent role, we must use Nature’s guidance, to see each step, to create a purpose & experience greater than we have yet imagined.
Our bodies are walking sticks for our souls. If we operate in the interests of all life, we align with the valuable purposes of our species. Our role in Nature can be something more magnificent than we can fathom.
So what gets in our way?
#2-Is about the basic perverted thinking that creates our dysfunctional social constructs, & Self-Imposed Collective Perceptual Disabilities. These create the evolution of destructive patterns in our actions with each other, & with all of Nature.
On a basic level, it is a perversion to think of Nature as a conglomerate of commodities that we are not a part of & are somehow ruling over.
Nature invested in us. But we use our powerful imaginations to our detriment, imagining & believing in the illusion that we are investing in nature. A cell doesn’t decide how much to invest in, or be a part of, it’s host.
If we won't cooperate with the
Nature we are a part of, & being created by, we will become like cancer. Nature is self-healing, constantly evolving, & doesn’t need humans in order to thrive. If we cling to toxic patterns, Nature will heal itself by respecting our decision to exclude ourselves. And, apart from Nature, we have no life source. A cell does not survive when it is removed from its host.
By believing false narratives about our roles in nature, we create a compartmentalized way of seeing ourselves as out of the control of Nature. We create man-made systems built on the false belief that we make our own resource banks.
We DO control these resource banks. But they are limited, & this creates a construct of scarcity, forcing us into a false choice between our will to live & the will of all “other” lives to live. These mental constructs are selfish smears of fog hiding reality. But reality is where we actually live - no matter what selfish lie we believe.
When we see a human problem, we want solutions & protocols quickly & within our control. & so we construct social categories & make declarations to reinforce what we already think, whether it is true or false. Throughout human history, these social constructs have created problems posing as solutions within our species.
Although we organically know, from Nature, that we are each immeasurably valuable in our interdependence, & individually unique in ways that are not socially constructed, we are each taught to create our identity according to socially constructed categories. These categories, & the identities that emerge from them, are social constructs of our imaginations. We do not organically identify according to categorical groups. We must be taught to categorize & separate ourselves; whether it is a racial group, an economic class, a sexual orientation group, a religious group, or even a species. We have seen dogs & cats raised together, not caring if they came from different biological families, or even different species. They know they are different. But their imaginations can’t create constructs that take priority over interdependence & the value of their unique personal identities.
I want to share some specific examples of human categories & constructs:
*The construct of racism comes from separating according to skin color. We could have done this by height or eye color, or any physical feature.
*A construct from the field of psychiatry in the 1950s was the ‘Somatotype & constitutional theory’ which categorized people according to 3 body types, & then declared what type of personality they must have at their core, according to body type. *Historically, the field of psychiatry categorized personality & intellect expectations by race.
*In the field of economics, we imagine land ownership as a social construct. But we do not own land; land supports us, controls us, & impacts us according to the economy of Natural systems. Land is a treasure to be appreciated, but it is not within our control.
*From the construct of land ownership & division comes the social construct that we must compete for land ownership. & from this comes reasoning to justify war; & from this comes the illusion that, over time, justified war can lead to peace. & somehow, to reinforce this, the ownership of land influences the social construct that some lives are more valuable than others.
*
Seeing any element of Nature as a commodity we rule over is a mental perversion, & it leads to
a Collective Mental Disability- the dysfunctional processing of information, thinking ownership or material wealth is evidence of functionality, & using the social class of a person to designate the value of a person. This perceptual disability prevents humans from understanding the priorities & cooperation that are required in nature.
*The social construct of the money game says that material wealth is evidence of functionality. This dysfunctional social construct justifies paying for the torture of other species, in order to turn the remnants of their physical bodies into commodities to buy & sell, in order to compete in the money game.
We have to completely unlearn false constructs, & restructure our unique identities. Each life is valuable beyond measure; & not because of any category. The social & species constructs we have are limiting; they are NOT the essential constructs we thought they were.
Maya Angelou, “ Our young must be taught that racial peculiarities do exist, but that beneath the skin, beyond the differing features, & into the true heart of being, fundamentally, we are more alike, my friend, than we are unalike.”
Albert Einstein "A human being is a part of the whole, called by us "Universe," a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty. Nobody is able to achieve this completely, but the striving for such achievement is in itself a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security.”
Grace Hopper said, “The most damaging phrase is ‘We’ve always don’t it this way.’”
But, we can change! The seeds & ingredients for sustainable health in human systems is found at the intersection of our will to live, & the will of all lives to live. This is where we find our will to love all life – this intersection holds the seeds for sustainable collective well-being in our systems. We must trust in Nature’s supportive economy, & courageously take our place in it.
Imagine if our social constructs were interdependent of all lives, & not divisive. Imagine constructs such as peace for all, health for all, inclusion for all, & reverence for all life.
Our role in Nature is more valuable than anything we can fathom. Let’s not waste this opportunity!
#3 – How do we resolve our dysfunction & align with the supportive economy of Nature we operate within?
We must learn with open minds.
Because our potential role in Nature is so powerful & impactful to all life, to access this role, Nature first demands we have reverence for all life existing in its web. This means we stop fooling ourselves & justifying actions against other life. It means we stop hoarding, & we become willing to learn the symptoms, roots of problems,
& solutions to our misdirected understandings. Our Human-centric ethics has been in conflict with Nature’s ethics, an ethics that holds the whole truth of life - the information to coordinate & balance the collective web of life. Sometimes solutions come only from learning - & sometimes learning can only be done by the lessons & teachings of Nature.
1-Our decisions must be driven by health, & not by pain. We have to take care of our mental & physical health, & learn from Nature how to do this. Realize that the country spending the most money on health care is one of the sickest countries in the world. We must look to Nature to understand what it means to take care of life.
2-We need to heal mentally in order to solve problems. We need to mentally align with an accurate world view, understanding that we are alive because of, & dependent on the community of all life. We can then operate from the will & desire for all life to thrive.
3-If we are devoted & enthusiastic about life, it naturally follows that we are devoted to saving & caring for the lives of those whose lives support our own, including other species. The destruction of any life impacts our own security. Whether we choose to acknowledge this or not, it is the reality of the system we live in.
4-We must make intra- & inter-species relationships that recognize… human power is only one piece of Nature’s power. We did not create Nature. & we will not destroy Nature. Our relationship within Nature is a family system. We are embedded in it, & dependent on it.
5-We must participate in Nature's economy of caring for, & sharing, the resources of life. If we believe we are external & can manufacture outcomes apart from the laws of Nature, we will continue the pendulum swing of our imaginations - swinging between self-destruction & self-salvation, of which neither is real. We will create our own outcomes of extinction; or we can cooperate & co-create outcomes for life beyond imagination. Outcomes will be created. We cannot kill off Nature. We cannot change Nature's laws. But, we kill ourselves if we continue to disrespect & compete against that which supports us. Nature is our relationship teacher, our resource master, our health provider, & the body of life on which we depend & learn about the purposes of all lives.
#4- How do we Immunize ourselves from extinction?
We build an immune system to cleanse ourselves of the pollution of dishonesty that misdirects & constructs unsteady & unsustainable systems. What does that look like?
1-We cannot empower lies, & we must stop making decisions based faulty social constructs. We can create an immune system from extinction by using Nature’s morality of the whole of life to direct our imaginations & our goals. We have to keep dishonesty from infecting & directing man-made systems.
Remember, to ask yourself, do I believe anyone is “less than” anyone else?” In the moments you believe you can judge the value of one life over another, or one group over another, those are the moments you have stepped away from morality, & you are polluting the world, even if just for the moment.
2- According to Standing Bear, when a human’s heart is away from Nature, it becomes hard, & it lacks respect for growing & living things. This leads to a lack of respect for fellow humans. & so Standing Bear advises, we keep our hearts close to the softening influence of Nature.
Each moment holds everything, all resources – in balance. We decide if we choose to participate, or to vanish. The harmony of all Nature’s wisdoms is the global song of peace. It always exists. For humans, one feels it with their heart, their instrument.

Aligning Human Psychology & Values
To Empower Well-Being 💖
[Nature Series - Video #2]
Welcome!
Are your values, the values you live according to, are they aligned with the values of the Natural world that you depend on & live within? Do we humans even think much
about the importance of this, & of how our values impact our human psychologies, & thus the quality of our lives, our relationships, & the global systems we create? This video is an introduction to 9 Values of Nature, & to The Cyclical Seasons & Patterns of Nature that we live within & are designed to be empowered by
& operate from.
I’ll discuss 9 specific values of Nature & the ways we misalign with these due to our human-centric values & psychologies. And later, I’ll introduce the importance of the aligning with Nature’s patterns & cycles.
You might be asking, ‘Why is it important to learn about the values of Nature’? The values of Nature control us. We do not control them. But because we think of Nature as a commodity we rule over, & not as a family we are a part of, we have created a separate value system, separate from the value system of Nature that we actually depend on.
So we must learn & understand what Nature values, if we are to heal our skewed values.
I’m Dr LW, & this is the 2ndvideo in a series of 7 about how we create disfunction in our relationship with Nature, & how we could heal & benefit from this relationship. This series covers 5 main topics.
Two of those are introduced in this video - the Values of Nature, & The Cyclical & Seasonal Patterns of Nature. I’m going to list the other 3, & say a tiny bit about each.
The 3rd topic in this series is about Our human role in Nature.
Our role in Nature is developed in our relationship with Nature, Nature being like a wonderful community or a family system we are embedded in & grow from. It is a perversion for us to see Nature as a commodity that we are not a part of, & that we rule over. Albert Schweitzer said, "QUOTE We like to imagine that man is nature's goal: but facts do not support that belief. END QUOTE" Although we are not the goal of nature, each of our lives is meant to hold a very important role as a part of Nature’s family. It is in that role that we find our utmost purposes & meanings.
The 4thtopic - Is The economy of Nature, meaning Nature’s careful management of its wealth & resources, & its balancing of production & consumption, to support the whole of Nature, the collective of all lives.
Nature’s economy can be thought of as a body, where each species is meant to be a valuable part of the body, each holding a valuable role in the body.
This economy carefully determines its allocation of inter-related resources, just like your body determines where to send blood, nutrients,
& healing to all of its parts.
Production & consumption of all resources are balanced to constantly work towards fulfilling the needs of the whole of life in Nature. If we were to serve & cooperate in this economy of collective well-being, we would experience the strength, the abundant resources, & healing power of the whole body of Nature.
And topic #5 – Is about the language of humans WITHIN the language of Nature. Language is a symbol we use to express ourselves. But it is also an ingredient in emerging values, cultures, & ways of life. Nature can be our language guide as we participate in creation.
As I said, this video is an introduction to the values of Nature, & to the importance of aligning our lives with the Cyclical & Seasonal Patterns of Nature that we live within & depend on.
Please do take the time, even if it is in chunks of time, to watch this whole video, because I do cover a wide range of information.
This video is an abbreviated version of what I would like to share.
So if you hear me mention an area you want me to expand on in future videos, please write that in the comment section, on youtube channel’s platform, on your screen, below this video.
If you hope this information is seen by other people, please subscribe to the channel,
because that helps boost its visibility on the internet. The point of this channel is to discover the best of ourselves, & to enrich the lives of all we touch.
Before I introduce 9 specific values of Nature, there are some general value principals & components for us to keep in mind that are embedded in Nature’s value system.
First, Nature is a perfectly balanced system of all life, as perfectly balanced as any individual body of life.
As I said earlier, each species is a valuable part of Nature’s body.
This system is carefully determining its cycles, patterns & seasons in order to best allocate its inter-related resources for the benefit of all life – the whole body of Nature. Nature values each life, & It operates to fulfill the needs & empower the interdependency of all, as a whole system. By our valuing the whole body & movements of Nature, & by cooperating within its patterns that are for our collective well-being, we can personally experience the best of ourselves & uplift others for the best of our world, no matter the situation.
Human values that do not align within this body tear us away from the body of life & its resources. To continue to exist, & to be a valuable species in Nature, we must become a functional species in the movement & operations of the collective body. We must keep fear & greed from infecting & directing our minds, our values, our behavior patterns, & our operating systems. We must stop thinking we can control or compete with Nature. We must become compatible & cooperative in our relationships with all of Nature, including our relationships within our own species! Most people believe they are already doing this. But ask yourself, “Do my values place one life over another?” In the moments that you believe you can judge the value of one life over another, or one group over another, those are moments you have stepped away from the values that benefit you & your best position in relation to others.
So What is the difference between human values & those of Nature in general? To begin with, Nature’s values originate from a Whole of Nature Context; while human values use a Human-centric context. The human-centric context limits our minds & imaginations from the opportunities that could be seen using a Whole-Nature context.
So what does that mean?
We humans tend to see human life as the priority & goal of Nature, & so we create compartmentalized values, seeing each species as separate from ourselves, & compartmentalized in its own silo within Nature. This perspective creates a massive blind spot in our ability to envision, & then create, patterns that are interdependent with the plethora of life & resources existing in the collective whole of Nature. We are like a cell that sees itself as the goal of the body. Greedily eating the host, the cell destroys what supports it. The cell becomes a cancer, & destroys itself. As Gandhi said, "QUOTE Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not everyman’s greed END QUOTE.”
Although humans USE compartmentalized values, all species, all lives, are completely interdependent.
All live according to the values of a Whole- Nature context. While I won’t speak for other species, I know that we humans have the mental ability to do better, to construct our values from the reality of a Whole-Nature context. We would then create a mental infrastructure that allows us to best synchronize our lifestyles within Nature’s abundance.
We are faced with the fact that Nature’s values include information our minds don’t have. Because Nature’s values include every life, Nature factors each life into every decision about a season, a temperature, a rainfall, a birth, or a death. Our human minds can’t see all these factors or know the needs of all lives. We can’t understand, or even know the scope of meaning in the phrase "all life". We can’t comprehend the balancing act that Nature performs every minute.
And so we can’t know the whole-Nature context.
So we must trust, & let Nature guide us. We must align with Nature’s decisions & values, or we will cease to exist.
Values from a Whole-Nature contexthave reverence for all life. Everything alive is choosing to be alive. Nature does not use human values or even human achievements to measure the value of a life. Life is not about achievement. Achievement is completion. But life is a process, not a completion!
The value of a life is an ethical question whose answer might be found in the Wholeness ethics of nature, where a life’s value is found within the whole of Nature, where the sum is greater than its parts, where each part’s true value is only known when seen within the collective. The value of a life won’t be found in the compartmentalized ethics of human minds & competitions.
Here are 9 Values of Nature that we are designed to live
in accordance with, & in which we could find our greatest value.
And do know that in an upcoming video, I’ll take a deeper dive into each of these values, especially the ones you ask about in the comment section on this youtube channel.
Value #1 - Nature values compassion.
Compassion provides a critical & unique kind of information. We humans could use this information to create & structure our systems so that they align within Nature, are supported by Nature, & could be nourished by Nature. These systems would be able to use natural resources, without dishonoring or diminishing them.
Compassion for the lives of other species prevents the greed that creates our self-fulfilling prophecies of scarcity, overuse, & abuse. Compassion motivates us to value the collective well-being of all life. If we refuse to feel for the lives that we touch, we make ourselves the weak link in Nature; & this will lead to our demise. No life or species is able to survive alone. Interdependence grows strength. For example, the more intertwined the roots of trees are with each other & with the land, the stronger each individual tree is. Each life, including its love, is interwoven with all of life. This is true for every group, subgroup, & individual. For us, ‘survival of the fittest’ is not about physical strength. Our survival muscle is our compassion. Compassion creates the strength & motivation to care for each other. We humans do not survive by might or competition.
Compassion is a part of us. It creates chemicals that improve our brains’ ability to understand the world. By ignoring compassion, we lose sight of its benefits to our bodies & our intellects. Accessing these chemicals of compassion is not limited in the ways we may tend to think. For example, if we are alone, we may think we are disconnected from other life. But even when we are alone, we can still experience compassion; & it lets us know we are completely interconnected, we are never alone.
In Nature’s systems, compassion teaches a healing ethics. This ethics encompasses all life, not just human life or mammal life. In nature, it is in being with, & feeling compassion for all life that we humans can heal our role in the world in ways that are currently beyond our imaginations.
We humans must be responsible & use compassion to guide us as we build our man-made systems. Compassion can give us the ability to tap into a knowledge that exists in the fabric that all life grows its roots from & into. Compassion can drive & guide us into aligning within the systems that could enhance our role in the wonderful expression of Nature’s power. There is an infinite full picture to see, & compassion could help us appreciate this more. Our lives have purpose & value when they are balanced with an equal value & respect for others’ lives. This balance would support our human value in the beautiful harmony playing out through all lives in Nature's domain.
Value #2- NATURE Values TRUST. We humans like to KNOW,… rather than trust. But, inherent in the ability to trust is admitting there are things we don’t know. We think we can control what we know about.
And we feel out of control about what we don’t know about.
By attempting to solve our discomfort in this,
we arrogantly tell ourselves
we can place Nature within the parameters of what we know & believe we can control.
As a result, we use our imaginations to create doubt & to 2nd guess Nature. The rest of nature trusts
(& may not even have the mental ability to doubt)
the comprehensive balance of Nature. For us, without trust, our fear of scarcity becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Our mistrust leads to our fear of scarcity & to greed, overuse, & a lack of self-control. Instead of using trust to control our fear, we attempt to control nature. But Nature’s balanced collective body is not ours to control. We Humans live in an imagined silo of scarcity, while surrounded by the plentiful offerings of Nature. Accessing these offerings requires trusting & aligning with Nature’s already structured systems.
Nature’s resources ebb & flow in ways beyond our understanding, & in ways we may not like or find comfortable. But Nature must be trusted & accepted. Otherwise, we will never understand the value & purpose of ourselves within Nature. So give no value to any arrogance or smear of selfishness covering up your ability to trust.
Value #3- Nature values our collective interdependence.
No life can be detached from interdependence. No one is an exception. Each life has value; it is a part of the collective body. Human life is not somehow more necessary to Nature than other life. With this in mind, the more we value our own lives, the more we will value those we are interdependent with.
Man-kind continually ignores this foundational value of interdependence. But each life is alive because of its will to live. By ignoring this, we’ve created values & social constructs according to a compartmentalized ethics, meaning we create humanethics & moral principles in a vacuum, as separate from the ethics & principals we mentally construct for, or about, the rest of the Natural world. This misaligns us, & forces us into unnecessary choices between our will to live & our will to honor all others’ wills to live. These choices are based on a faulty mental & relational construct. The truth is that we must cling to both our will to live, & our will to honor all others. This truth is a seed for understanding accurate values. We must align our lives with accurate values, rather than aligning with values made from the construct that says we are separate from Nature.
Value #4- Nature values COLLECTIVE CREDIT.
Life is a group project. Nature is organized so that valuable creation, progress, & outcomes emerge from collective participation. Nature is constantly giving all lives roles to co-create the best world possible – this is our group project. If we want to be included in the future, we must include ourselves in the current creations of Nature. It is in our best interest to not compare, but to include, the importance of all lives in our decisions as a part of the group. When we don’t, we cut OURSELVES out of the group project.
There is no proof that the lives of humans are more essential than the lives of those in other species. But we ignorantly believe we are more essential than others. Because we cannot own or control Nature, & because we are a part of Nature, the group project is where we make ourselves valuable co-creators. We are life, nourishing life.
Value #5- Nature values mutual cooperation.
Cooperation, not competition, is our safety net.
Through mutual cooperation we humans could have power & value that would benefit the whole system of Nature.
Nature’s laws & systems are what we arose from & can’t escape. They are structured according to the Values of a Whole-Nature context.
Tangible & wonderful outcomes will occur for us if we cooperate within the balanced system to which we belong. But pain will continue if we continue to believe we are external to Nature, believing that we can manufacture outcomes that could compete with or control,
the laws & structures of Nature.
Value #6-Nature values the SAFETY & security of its whole body – not of one part over another.
Our security is created by valuing our role, & finding our value in Nature – not in trying to be more valuable than the rest of Nature.
Our human safety exists by cooperating with the structured systems that sustain us. In Nature, human life is no more relevant than others. When we ignorantly use competition to achieve value, we destroy our own safety, security, & value.
#7- Nature values the structure of Time, & uses it to create seasons, patterns, & cycles. Time is the structure out of which each moment surfaces. Each moment is valued as the current expression of Nature – Nature is a collective of single moments, if you will. All facts connected together (the collective of everything) create The Present moment. The expression of all facts, joined together, is alive right now. The collective of all life is the expression of all facts. Discounting any moment of life is a sign of ignorance.
While each moment over time is of its own value, our ability to participate with, & uplift life IS IN the Present moment. We can plan for the future, & we can look to the past for lessons. But unless we live in the Present, according to the values we want in the future, we will not have the future we want. Our choices in each Present moment decide what door we open to take our next step into.
#8- Nature values Comprehensive knowledge. Believe it or not, comprehensive knowledge is not something human brains can access. We don’t like to admit this. But by denying our intellectual limits,
we deny ourselves the sense of awe at Nature’s wisdom,
which is beyond our ability to fully understand.
In arrogance, we blind ourselves from so many teachings & examples held in Nature, & we create a collective learning disability, a collective mental dysfunction if you will. We disable ourselves from learning the lessons in Nature that are all around us.
If we respected Nature as a teacher, we would learn so much about ourselves. We would have greater understanding & vision for our species, & for our value in Nature. Arthur Koestler said, “QUOTE If one looks with a cold eye at the mess man has made of history, it is difficult to avoid the conclusion that he has been afflicted by some built-in mental disorder which drives him toward self-destruction. END QUOTE” I don’t think the mental-disorder he mentions is built in. I think we create this disorder by denying the existence of what we do not know about.
We deny the existence of what we don’t know. And so, our arrogance, fear, & greed keep this collective learning disability in place.
But Nature is a teacher for students who are ready & willing to learn; to learn about solutions that can heal the collective learning disabilities we have created. If our goal is to learn from nature, & implement its comprehensive systems, we will stop trying to control or manipulate these systems. To quote Tom Shadyac, QUOTE "There's one fundamental law
that all of nature obeys
that mankind breaks everyday. Now this is a law that's evolved over billions of years & the law is this: nothing in nature takes more than it needs. A redwood tree doesn't take all of the soil's nutrients, just what it needs to grow. A lion doesn't kill every gazelle, just one. We have a term for something in the body when it takes more than its share. We call it cancer. END QUOTE"
Nature teaches us about both the simplicity & the complexity of mutual connections. Although each life is having a unique experience within a physical body, we also learn that each of our experiences are totally connected beyond our understanding, & not severed by having separate physical bodies. Everything we DO has impact in the natural world, beyond what we currently know. And our physical bodies are literally, biologically, designed to nourish the soil of the land. We are born interconnected, physically, emotionally, mentally, & spiritually with all of life. Again, we are life, nourishing life.
Value #9- Nature Values Free Will. The power of nature to create life is greater than the power of humans to destroy life. But we are given the choice to kill or to sustain elements from Nature that can in turn sustain us. This means Nature allows us the ability to choose life or death. We cannot kill off Nature. We cannot change Nature's laws. But we can kill what directly supports us, thus destroying ourselves. Either way, Nature will heal & re-balance itself. Human power exists at the intersection of our willingness to both depend on other life, & to support other life. Our power is in our respect for interdependence.
So this was an introduction to these 9 values of Nature. In #7, I mentioned the Cycles, Seasons & Patterns’, of Nature.
And so now,
I want to go more into what I mean by these & why they are important.
The economy of Nature uses TIME as a construct to structure & support the patterns of life. And so it is important that we learn to connect & flow, both personally & socially in time, with the patterns that Nature places within each of our lives,
within our species,
& that our species is placed within.
Nature has cycles which build upon each other. Sometimes we know the reasons for our own cycles & seasons in life, & sometimes we don’t. For example, the snowflake knows a bit about winter. But if the snowflake doesn’t know its grander purpose, it doesn’t know it is water, & so it fears it will die in the spring. But it doesn’t die; it transforms! Each of our lives also goes through cycles. We must learn to trust & accept that there is purpose in all the seasons of our lives, even the most difficult.
Instead of asking, “How do we survive,
despite the patterns of Nature or the seasons of life?”, let’s ask ourselves, “How do we align our intentions for our own lives WITH the patterns & seasons of all life we are embedded in?”
How do we do this?
1st, we must trust Nature’s cycles; we can’t control them. No amount of effort will make Nature’s patterns orient around humans.
We can calm ourselves, & live now in the ways we hope for the future. Nature will guide us in this responsibility. If we don’t trust the natural rhythms, & responsibly align our lives with Nature, we will self-destruct in our man-made patterns & seasons, which we base on our limited expectations.
Your physical life is in harmony with Nature’s rhythms; you are a protagonist in action with the flow of nature. If you are mentally antagonistic to this, if you fight Nature’s rhythm & power in your life, you will be unwell. We can't be both in harmony with life & antagonistic to life.
Secondly, don’t give any value to shallow smears of selfishness
that cover up your love & respect for another life. Selfishness covers up the ability to have self-value & self-respect. It covers up your true purposes in life.
We choose between the ignorance & limits of selfishness, or the opportunities of respect, interdependence, & love.
We are born into valuable lives. But then we learn personal & social constructs that separate us from each other & blind us from the amazing roles we are designed to activate & occupy in the abundance of Nature. Fighting against Nature, rather than trusting it’s patterns & priorities, effects every part of our lives – our health, our relationships with each other & with other species, & even our survival as a species on this planet. If we would align ourselves with the patterns, seasons, & cycles of our own lives & all of life, Nature would empower our valuable human roles in enhancing & amplifying all life.
3rd, if you don't address the power of the weather inside of yourself, it will be difficult to understand, accept, & align with the power & purpose of the weather outside of yourself. Take a present moment to rest, to look within, to see & feel yourself being fully present in being alive & being valuable.
We want the power of nature. But the rhythms of man-made systems that ignore the power of Nature are, of course, limited in power. They contain limited components of the great resources & patterns of Nature. We must trust & learn, if we want to better understand & reap the benefits of Nature's seasons & cycles of abundance. Using Nature’s rhythms as a guide to inform & empower our choices, we can be powerful beyond what we have yet imagined.
Life is not about the length of time we are alive. Life is about living now, embracing life in this moment’s note in the on-going song of life, a song we want to continue. By participating in Nature’s rhythms,
the cycles of nature do enhance & amplify our roles in the body of life, freeing us from greed, hoarding, & fear. But if we value quantity over quality, we will disregard the priority of life for all, & we will decrease the value & quality of our ripple effect into the world.
The harmony of all Nature’s wisdomsis the global song of peace. It always exists. For humans, we feel it with our hearts, our instruments.

Crisis Or Opportunity? Goals, Distribution, Values [Nature Series - Video #3]
This video is about the incredible wisdom & perfection of Nature’s economic system. Each of our lives holds the opportunity to become a valued resource in Nature’s interdependent family. But we have distorted our mentality to the point that our human systems & economy detach us from Nature’s resources, & create systemic patterns that misalign us with the Natural rhythms we are embedded in & made from. This causes us painful problems that roll across the planet. We desperately try to control & get Nature to distort with us, to align with our misalignment. But we must shift into the reality that Nature’s economic system controls us. Only then can we can find our valuable role in Nature’s economy.
We contemplate, & sometimes fear the idea of global economic governance. But there is already a global governance. It is called Nature. By thinking we govern Nature, we blind ourselves from our true value in Nature. This is the 3rd in a series of videos I’m doing about Nature & about our human role in Nature’s family. There are 4 parts in this video, & I will explain those in a minute.
First please realize that Nature is a living Body of interconnected parts, emerging over time. In its current state of emergence, we humans are a part of its existing body, which I will also refer to as Nature’s family. Nature produces us, we do not produce Nature. Nature’s emerging body, & any emerging body of life, is different than an object put together without a life force. If you put the parts of a cartogether, you can make it work, but it did not emerge from something that didn’t exist before. You can’t put the parts of a human body together & make it be alive. Life requires an emerging of what is new. Nature’s body is an ongoing emergence of life, & humans are a unique part of its emergence. Nature is not here for us, we are an outgrowth of it. We can make operating systems. But an operating system is not the same as a living system. Living systems can make operating systems, but they are not defined by, or limited to, those systems. Our bodies are living systems embedded in Nature. And Nature is embedded in living systems beyond our understandings. Are these bodies walking sticks for our souls?
We need Nature’s emerging family; but it doesn’t need us.In this family are many interdependent relationships. We humans are amazingly positioned so that when we benefit Nature’s family, we benefit ourselves. Our natural & best understanding for life & purpose is found in the realization that we are each a unique member of the whole family of Nature.
There are 4 sections in this video.
In Section 1 I dive into 5 foundational elements of Nature’s economy. These elements are Goal Setting, Resource Distribution, Interdependent Relationships, Valuation, & Power Vs Force. I will compare & contrast the way Humans understand & use these elements, with the way Nature uses them. Section 1 is approximately the 1sthalf of this video.
Section 2 is about our vision of the present, how we envision the future, & how we have blinded ourselves from discerning economic solutions that are right in front of our eyes. Nature’s ecosystem sustains & evolves itself where diversity meets interdependence. We are a part of Nature, & so inherent in us is the need & ability to thrive at the intersection of diversity & interdependence.
Section 3, is about ways to heal our misunderstandings, & align our thoughts & behaviors with Nature’s resource systems we are embedded in.
And in Section 4, I’ll share why I know we can rise to the occasion of joyfully embracing our interdependence with all lives, & that we can act responsibly as we impact & are impacted by all life. We can always create justification to not value all lives; but it is to our demise, & we know this. We can look to solutions that go beyond what we currently know, & what we have done before. New ways of being that support all life, WILL be supported by all life- & s0 we can’t lose if we choose wisely.
At the end of this video, I will give a brief description of the other videos in the Nature series. Please subscribe to the channel for more of these videos, & if you find them valuable, please share them. Our species has wonderful & mighty power, WHEN we plug into & align with the power SOURCE of Nature’s governance that we are made from & operate within. We are meant to serve a mighty purpose in this world by synchronizing with the rest of Nature to bring about yet unimagined beauty & joy. When we are misaligned with the Natural world we are a part of, we lose our abilities to serve life. We become toxic, complaining because the rest of the world has not made the comfort & survival of the human species it’s goal.
We think we are trying to survive despite, rather than in partnerships with, the needs of other life.
And so we are tempted to ask ourselves, "How should we understand Nature, in order to save ourselves & our species?" But this is the wrong question. We are interdependent, & so we must find our value within the ever-emerging body of Nature. Then we will not only survive, we will thrive. And so, the better questions are, "How do we best understand Nature, in order to respect the purpose & meaning of each life in the world, including our own?", “What role gives value & purpose to the human species in Nature’s economy?, & “How do we best access the power of that role?” This video looks at these questions. We humans can benefit the whole family of Nature, the family we live within.
Section 1
I am going to discuss 5 foundational building blocks for economies. And specifically, I’m going to Compare & Contrast the ways Nature uses these, with the ways Humans understand, misunderstand, & use these building blocks.
Element #1 is GOAL-SETTING
Goals in Nature are about process, not about task completion or achievement. Nature has already achieved the creation of life, & the interdependence of all beings. Thus, the task is complete. The goal now is the quality of the process, the process being the emerging family of Nature, the balance & cooperation of everything for the greatest benefit to the family of Nature. Every life is a part of this emerging family; there is no family completion! Nature’s systems are set up so that each moment of the process is an opportunity to relate everything together in ways that enrich all life.
In contrast, humans tend to measure goals as achievement & completion, rather than the goal being the quality of the process. Often human goals are measured in achievements of money, power, & winning. These are metrics of competition, rather than metrics of cooperation & relationship.
Nature sets Goals with the health & well-being of the overall collective of life as the priority. The health & well-being of humans is one part of Nature’s goals, but we are not the goal of Nature, Nature does not prioritize human survival over the survival of the collective body of Nature. Nature’s goals are created at the intersection of intelligence & wisdom. From this intersection, Nature creates an emerging ecosystem which currently supports human life. As in any family, the goals in each life have unique potential, purpose, & impact. But if humans continue to impact this ecosystem in ways that would undermine the sustainability of Nature’s family, Nature’s emerging ecosystem wont support human systems.
In contrast to Nature’s goals, Human goals do not require the overall well-being of Nature, or even the health of the human species.Human goals tend to be personal. And while it would seem that the measure of success should include personal happiness, this is not the case. Human goals tend to be measured by competition, with financial competition, the money game, being a prime example. Even if a goal is not directly measured in money, the cost /benefit analysis will tend to be limited to whether the goal costs more money than it provides. If the goal were happiness or well-being, a limited metric like money would not be used to measure the quality of a goal. Ironically, as we compete in this way, we are destroying what supports us. Until human goals align with Nature’s goals, we will be in a state of resource crisis. By refusing to change, we limit ourselves from the abundance of Nature, & we blame Nature for not giving us what we want, for not making human comfort Nature’s priority. And I’ll say more about money & limited metrics when I discuss Valuation.
Nature is a family of lives, a web of interdependent relationships. Lessons & creations emerged over time, & we are made of these. Everything we do, every goal we have, impacts life throughout time. The generations of Nature go before & beyond what our intellect knows of the past, present, & future.
Nature wisely & intelligently communicates to teach us the quality of our goals & sustainability of what we create. For example, our bodies are Nature, & they signal to us about what is healthy & what is not. When we create smoke, we cough. When we create poison, we get sick. Our emotions are physical creations. They are created by our thoughts. And when we think thoughts of fear, we create discomfort in our bodies, messages from Nature. Thoughts of Love create joy & feel good. The messages to us from Nature are endless.
Human goals drive inventions, & our inventions tool more goals. When they are based in fear they create greed, leading to hoarding & scarcity, & this leads to system failure over time. We are supposed to use lessons to accumulate wisdom. Innovations, inventions, & creations from wisdom uplift life. However, we humans tend to create goals for the purpose of navigating around the lessons Nature tries to teach us. This is ignorant; but we mascaraed our ignorance as intelligence.
A process goal of Nature is the on-going rebalancing & evolving of self-healing for the collective family of life. Nature uses symptoms as opportunities for change - evolving old patterns, & emerging new patterns. Symptoms, taken seriously are reasons to grow, not reasons to fear. Because of this, health evolves to higher planes. If symptoms could be healed by fear, then the greed & scarcity fear creates would become foundational elements of emergence. But fear causes greed & thus scarcity, & so it does not fit into Nature’s goals. Nature creates with healthy responses to emerging conditions; it does not react emotionally. It is internally powered & ever-creating; it is not rigid, defensive, or stuck in its ways.
Why do humans swing between fear & greed, as we develop our economies? Because we have created a mental construct of scarcity which we give great value to.
Human goals require systems that constantly take & use more than is sustainable. This is, in part, because our decisions are constructed from fear. Fear based beliefs build narratives that we will lose what we need, unless we hoard. We announce that others will take from us, & so we justify taking & hoarding money, food, property, & any other resource we think can help us. Goals of accumulating & hoarding are not aligned with Nature’s goals of creating evolving ways to share resources. A sustainable life determines its accurate needs, without the factors of fear or blame. Mahatma Gandhi said, "QUOTE Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not everyman’s greed.END QUOTE”
Nature has given humans great abilities to imagine & think in the abstract. These abilities are to be used for the goal of benefitting Nature’s entire family. But by not seeing our accurate value to Nature, we mistrust & misuse our abilities & cause scarcity for ourselves & for some other parts of Nature. But for Nature as a whole, our toxic impact is only temporary. Nature is in the ongoing creation of healing. It has no need to support that which no longer serves it. When we compete with that which directly supports us, we destroy ourselves. Nature attempts to teach us to cooperate, not compete, with the interdependence of life. But if we are not something Nature can heal within itself, it must heal by getting us out of itself. We cooperate with healthy evolution, or we don't. We choose.
When we have goals that compete with Nature’s goals of collective well-being, we see the symptoms of our misalignments. We see physical, mental, emotional, relational, & societal pain & dysfunction. We don’t see these in other species, apart from human impact on them. When we try to force our way against the powerful goals of Nature, we develop greed, hatred, blame, & anxiety towards ourselves & other species. This stressful energy creates toxic chemicals, natural messengers, held in our bodies.
We are like a child who has a high IQ, & a low maturity level. We are intellectually able to create goals that navigate around taking responsibility for our symptoms. We name a symptom as the problem & blame it for our discomfort. But symptoms are signals that there is an underlying problem causing the symptom. If we insist that the symptom IS the problem & the main thing to solve, we don’t solve the actual problem in the foundation. When the goal is to resolve a symptom, without solving the underlying problem, we get replacement symptoms, problems that roll across the globe – again signaling there is an underlying problem interrupting our well-being. We have to go to the roots of problems & be willing to stop feeding them. If we want to thrive & be valuable, we must learn our role in Nature, & humbly let go of the idea that we can control or compete with this Nature we live within.
This leads us to the 2ndfoundational element in Nature’s economy –
RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION
Instead of trying to manage the symptom of scarcity, we can follow Nature’s lead in resource distribution. This meansevolving our lifestyles to share what is rare, & use what regenerates.
Nature’s resource distribution carefully balances production & consumption of resources to support the collective & abundant life of Nature’s family. Energy is used to create evolving health, harmony, & balanced distributions. Supply is according to what is needed, apart from emotional judgement. For example, a tree provides space for a bird’s nest according to what is most aligned with the needs of both the tree & the bird. They don’t compete against the needs of each other; they share & create together, respective of their unique purposes. From this synchronicity comes the emergence of further life & nourishment. This type of synergistic effect rolls across the planet.
There is a balanced leverage of sharing embedded in Nature’s economy. Supply is aligned with demand. We humans think we can’t trust this level of sharing until we dissect & scientifically understand it. But Nature limited our human intellect, in order to strengthen our humility & trust. Lack of trust wastes time & energy, as we try to force Nature into the ignorance of our human-centric minds. This is an impossible task. And the energy we waste is lost to us. But when we use energy in beneficial ways, Nature recycles energy for us.
Nature’s resources are ever-evolving & changing to sustain a balanced economy of life. We are a part of this system of life creating life. We are a resource in Nature. But if we choose to be destroyers, & not creators, time will heal us out of Nature’s
life-creating system. How did we become so destructive? We created mental constructs that tell us the resources we need are finite, that they can be patented, & that they are the property of a few. Think about the resources of lands we live on. We fight over these resources. Real lives are the collateral damage of our fear & greed, the fear & greed we wrongly think will lead us to safety.
We use faulty mental constructs to assign value to the lives in Nature’s family. These constructs are like quicksand to our intelligence. I’ll say more about social & mental constructs a little later.
We drown in ideas that misalign our use of resources. For example, it is an impossible idea for an economy to operate on both greed & scarcity, & still find ways to provide resources for all. Using energy for greedy actions, & the hoarding that comes from the fear of scarcity, are outside the balanced system of Nature. Fear & greed misalign energy use from the resource provisions of Nature. They create an environment of competition where we take more than is sustainable, in an effort to hoard enough to survive the competition of others hoarding too. This is an impossible balance of greed & scarcity in distribution, & it comes from our fear constructs that fuel greed. Even common instruments for our financial stock market use metrics named ‘greed level’ & ‘fear level’ scales. The false narratives that demand competition for resources create a pendulum swing between fear & greed, blinding us from the Natural wisdom needed to balance Human distribution systems. In this way, we have told ourselves a false story, believing we can organize a successful human-centric economy siloed apart from the laws of Nature.
I want to take a minute to talk about competition & cooperation in the context of resource distribution. According to the laws of Nature, lives are interdependent. It follows that cooperation, not competition, drives sustainable resource distribution. Competition canbe beneficial when done within a cooperative network & framework. Competition within collaborative goals & collaborative efforts supports life. But competition is harmful when it disrupts cooperation or causes collaboration failure.
Realistically, humans thrive on cooperation. And when we are in competitions outside of an overarching collaboration effort, we harm ourselves & are toxic to other parts of Nature. We must be vigilant, so that competition doesn’t create the illusion of control or success. We are interdependent, & so competing against other life is the opposite of progress. It comes from an ignorance of our impact on the collective, & thus on each life & on ourselves. The Shuar people are an indigenous community living in the heart of the Amazon jungle. As a part of Nature, they are constantly evolving & changing. An elderly Shuar, Yajuana, said “QUOTE For us, the word “progress” does not apply if it threatens other species or could possibly harm future generations – or if it ignores the spirits. How could that be progress?” END QUOTE. Each species’ ability to thrive impacts all species, whether directly or indirectly.
No one species created Nature’s family. All are creating it.
Generally speaking, humans have marginalized non-competitive societies & subcultures, such as the Shuar people.Rather than seeing these communities as evidence of human potential, they are seen as dysfunctional by the cultures holding the symbol of material wealth (money), & supposedly winning the competition for social power & control.
We have created a man-made economy of competition to gather resources. This prevents us from aligning with the organic resource balance of Nature’s supply & demand that we are embedded in & dependent on. The myth that we must win a competition against another life, in order to have resources, forms the false construct of scarcity. This forms a Collective Learning Disability, where we learn to compete more & trust less. We must learn from the past, & create a more collaborative future of caring for the collective. We must free ourselves from the traps we have created, the competition games of fear that are leading us into existential risks. For example, we compete for the best war tools, rather than collaborating for the best peace tools.
The human species survival depends on finding ways to communicate & form trusted relationships between groups, not just within groups. To survive, we need collaborative social operating systems based on cooperation & mutual support. Infinite resources, yet undiscovered, wait for us to put the value of interdependence & the infinite power of love above our fleeting false power that emerged from ignorance. In surrendering false power, & competition for resources, we will discover the real power that comes in trusting & synergizing within our powerful family of Nature.
Element #3 INTERDEPENDENT RELATIONSHIPS
We are going to look at 3 questions. What is Nature’s family? What are the interdependent relationships in Nature’s family? And how do humans deal with interdependence? Nature’s family includes what we know of, & also includes much that we do not know of. The human brain & human consciousness are emergent features in Nature’s family. This family includes all phenomena of the physical world collectively, & all the features, forces, & processes that exist or happen such as the weather, reproduction, growth, plants, animals (including humans), all the variations of landscapes, the sea, the mountains, & other features & elements.
We have created a human narrative that the human economy is somehow independent, or opposed to Nature’s economy. There are even some dictionaries that state humans are independent of Nature. But the idea that we are independent gives us the illusion that we are separate, & possibly in competition with Nature’s economy.
Everything overtime has come together to create what exists now. Humans are here as an emergent resource, to serve & create from & for Nature in uniquely awesome ways. But if we use our unique abilities to cause destruction, we will no longer be a resource Nature includes & supports.
Why is the economy of Nature so powerful? And how is it able to select what it uses in supporting the well-being of life? Can we make our human economy work this way too? Yes! In Nature’s economy, each species is understood to be a valued member impacting the whole family. When we recognize the value of every life, we serve the family, & we experience the strength of peace & balance that come from aligning with Nature’s strong economy. When we estrange ourselves from Nature’s healthy resource economy, we make ourselves weak. If we refuse to cooperate with Nature’s power, we disconnect ourselves from our life source.
From a purely physical standpoint, we are born into bodies that are literally nourishment for other life. An animal could eat us, & in the end, our body becomes soil for the earth. This is literal; & it is also a lesson from Nature. We are born interconnected, & everything we do impacts the physical, emotional, mental, & spiritual environment of all life. We are life, nourishing life. Ask yourself, what am I feeding the world? What fruit grows from my life?
Because Nature’s economy navigates to a balanced system, & everything is operating in synergy together, each particular piece plays a critical role in all existence across space
& through time. As the soil nourishes the plant, the plant brings sun's light into the soil. As Nature’s resources nourish our lives, we evolve & blossom. And within our roles, we can allow the wise & nourishing light of love into our lives & then extend this out into the lives of Nature’s whole family. We are supposed to use our unique minds to co-author resource systems to uplift all of Nature. But when we don’t trust Nature or understand our potentials, we limit ourselves & create the outcomes of our worries & fears.
The essence of human problems is in the foundation of man-made misunderstandings & misaligned patterns. We made these using our unique ability to imagine, to think in the abstract. Our ability to imagine was meant to equip us to build relationship systems of long-term collective well-being. We have instead used these imaginations to create false narratives, telling ourselves we have roles that are external to Nature & can control Nature & control the lives within it. These roles do not exist in the fabric of reality. And when reality’s facts haven’t supported our imaginations, we imagined additional illusions to support unrealistic narratives, thus causing us significant problems. A world view that we are not interdependent with all life is inaccurate, & leads to selfishness, which is the opposite of accuracy, responsibility, & self-respect.
To say this more clearly, we have misused our unique ability to imagine, by imaging what is not true, & then choosing to believe it is true, & often scaring ourselves to death. This is how we convince ourselves to act against what is best for life. We lie to ourselves, create fear, & act against the best interests of all life, & thus against our own life. In Nature, only reality is allowed. If we try to deny the perfect systems we are a part of, we deny a part of ourselves. And Nature has no space or time for denying reality.
Element #4 – VALUATION, meaning the process of determining the worth of a resource, including the resource of life.
In Nature’s valuation process, what decides worth or value? Nature 1st evaluates the ability of something to support & further Nature’s family. If the element or resource does this, it is given worth. If not, it is not worth sustaining. Nature values sharing, & as a result, Nature does not fear scarcity. Nature sustains what is nourishing to the collective, not what is hoarding or depleting resources. We humans create our own scarcity through fear of scarcity. This position is not sustainable. Without the fear of scarcity, humans could believe we have enough & so we would share & not hoard.
Nature’s valuation process is wholistic; each species & element is valued according to its benefit to the whole. Value is not human-centric. Humans are a resource in the system; but they are not the focus or goal of it. There is unlimited value available, to give in full, to every life that serves the family of Nature. Value is only limited by refusal to align. The worth of humans, in the valuation process of Nature, is found by calculating how valuable we are to Nature’s family. To be of sustainable value, we must learn our unique role in the fabric of life, the family we depend on; we must stop trying to control or rearrange the fabric.
In our human-centric valuation, we use social constructs to evaluate each species & element of Nature according to its seeming worth to humans. Our constructs declare that there is a limited amount of value to be had, that value is earned through competition, & because value is limited, some lives must be of more value than others. These constructs are not created from a holistic foundation, & so they create human behavioral systems that are misaligned with Nature’s holistic economy.
Due to our imagined social constructs & incorrect valuations, we created a symbol to falsely validate the idea of limited value. The symbol is called money. Money is a symbol of scarcity. Money is distributed according to perceptual constructs of competition such as job status, gender status, race status, citizenship status, country of origin status, species status, & the list goes on & on. In other words, human distribution occurs based on values that have no true leverage because they are not actually embedded in, or inherent in, Nature’s distribution system. They are values requiring exclusion & competition. When social constructs of competition for valuation are questioned, fear sets in & those in fear cling more tightly to symbolic value (to whatever is measured in money), not to inherent value.
Our misaligned constructs block us from accessing Nature’s operating system of sustainable resources. Feeling this block, & not understanding our ability to shift our focus & align with Nature, we externalize responsibility & we blame. Blame furthers the belief that we are powerless to change our experience. This creates fear of scarcity, driving greed & competition, & furthering our faulty belief systems.
Why do we do this to ourselves?
We struggle & suffer because we misunderstand the economy of Nature, & our role in it. We think we are in control, or that we can be. We think we can tame Nature. But Nature is trying to tame us, for our own survival & benefit. We cannot change Nature's laws. We will never control Nature into doing our will. When we try to control Nature, we destroy that which directly supports us, thus destroying ourselves. This is what a cancerous tumor does, until it is removed.
But it doesn’t have to be this way! We can thrive by embracing opportunities to let go of patterns that waste energy on what we cannot control. We can let go of emotional dependence on beliefs we made with human-centric constructs. SYMBOLs must be seen as symbols, not as ESSENCE. We can value the priorities & morality that are built into the Nature we are made of. Just like Nature, our priority activity must be ongoing ethical action, & never giving up. The morality of Nature insists on fulfilling itself through each & every one of us, through every life.
Nature doesn’t choose morality; morality is both a feature & an outcome of Nature. Morality is in aligning with what is integral to the collective. Human’s have been given the ability to imagine &
create ever-evolving ways to empower morality. As with any ability, it comes with responsibility & free will. We have the freedom to choose to ignore the morality of Nature – thus ignoring the foundational principals of Nature we depend on. A life that does not use morality will be misaligned with that which supports it.
As Albert Schweitzer wrote, "QUOTE We like to imagine that man is Nature's goal: but facts do not support that belief. END QUOTE" Due our ignorance, human-centrism values selfishness over self-respect & morality. This is one reason we can't fully understand the priorities of Nature. And no amount of effort can make Nature orient around our limited beliefs. Nature offers us a holistic valuation system, empowered by truth. Using this valuation system, we could make decisions to create an immune system which would keep dishonesty from infecting & directing faulty human systems.
Element #5 – POWER
Nature’s power to create life is much greater than human forces. Life giving Power is in the ongoing emergence of health & life for the collective whole. The human energy required to try to force our way against this Power is not sustainable over time. Nature has the power of all life; synchronizing the power of all, allowing & guiding everything that benefits the body of Nature’s family. Nature’s ability to synchronize all power is in its embrace of all factors. This ability does not require, nor is it contained within, the limits of human intellectual knowledge. We humans are on a need-to-know basis. We are given glimpses of the collective information, according to what we are supposed to use for our best interests. Intellectual information is a tiny piece of collective information. The more potential benefit a life can be to Nature’s family, the more information & responsibility are delegated to it. As a result, the more damage it can cause if the information is misused. Misuse is a boomerang, resulting in self-sabotage.
Humans over-rely on intellectual information, ignoring the reality that there are factors beyond what we know. We are overconfident where we need to be humble to gain power. Human-centric perceptions, priorities, & decisions set up our systems so that the symbol of power for some, is paid for with the health & lives of others. This symbol of power is not true power. It is a symbol made from a toxic competition, undermining the well-being of the collective family we all depend on.
What are we suppose to do?
Our greatest human powers exist at the intersection of our willingness to both depend on other life, & to support other life. Our power is in our respect for interdependence. This means trusting that other lives have value beyond our understanding. Forcing a human-centric plan is incomplete & will fail. We must trust what is greater than ourselves. Trusting that we are cared for in a Collective-centric system is where we find our power to uplift all lives, including our own. We have imaginations to use abstract thoughts to create & invent – for better or for worse. We can misuse resources, or we can nourish resources with our unique mental skills.
Nature has made humans able to see beyond logic’s limits. For example, in Nature’s family, Love is more powerful than the will to live. We can see this in so many species’ expressions of parental
wisdom, strength, & purpose. You can watch a cow or horse cry when their child is sold. You can see a dog grieve the loss of another household pet. You can watch crows grieve over a mate who has died, even dodging traffic to be near the body. You can see a mother deer protect her young, at the cost of her own life. And for humans, who use love to make decisions, they will share what they have, to care for others.
Section #2
WHAT IS THE VISION WE NEED,
IN ORDER TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS WE HAVE CREATED?
THE SOLUTION IS RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR EYES. WE LIVE IN THE SOLUTION, WHILE REFUSING TO PARTICIPATE! We must use our lives to nourish the parts of Nature we impact, thus nourishing ourselves. We are each a part of Nature, & so inherent in each of us is the need & ability to thrive at the intersection of diversity & interdependence.
We are members of Nature’s very strong, healthy, diverse family. We can either increase, or miss out on, our family’s resources & relationships.
Experience the world through a mind that knows you are dependent on the collective well-being. This mind shows you the paths of self-respect & self-care. Your truth is only found in accuracy, not in a fallacy. Self-care comes from respecting all life...flowing with life, not in pushing against it. The ecosystem sustains & evolves itself where all lives are valued, where diversity meets interdependence.
Your knowledge of the physical world is always incomplete. In contrast, the love living in you holds the highest form of knowledge – this knowledge is universal & has no limits.
The opposite of trusting & respecting the power of Love in Nature, is to Fear Nature & to force your way. But when trust overcomes fear, hope emerges, & your physical energy is transformed. We humans tend to deny the healing power of love. We then create operating systems that prioritize life over love, & thus short-sighted selfishness over self-respect. This is one reason we have such difficulty imagining the priorities of Nature. When we cannot define the controller, the boundaries, or the regulator of a system, our thoughts have difficulty holding a respect or ethical attitude for that system. But we are a part of Nature’s family system, a family we don’t control. We must respect this family, in order to respect our own lives.
The existence of every species, & every life, is always precarious within Nature - including our own life. Humans prioritize time as a measure of existence. Nature is not focused on the length of time we exist. Time is not a goal for Nature; it is an element of construction, to be used for creating the fullness of all that Nature has to offer. If length of existence was a priority, all lives would live long. We cannot control time, or the number of our days. And Nature doesn’t ask us to. Nature is about the life of the collective. It is time to learn to love our family of Nature. What better goal is there? Humans are one species, interdependent within the community of all life. By valuing quantity of time over quality of life, we disregard the priority of quality for all, & we increase the risk of limited quantity for ourselves. This is the cycle of life in its perfection of wholeness. Nature is a oneness, one family, offering resources to all its members.
Section #3
Where do the solutions lie? What must we learn, in order to heal, change, & align, with the rest of Nature? How do we use our skills to benefit all life? Nature is the antidote, the teacher, for students who are ready & willing to learn, & who want to heal our Human disabilities.
1st, We can learn that success is found in cooperation. We must serve, not try to control, our ever-evolving interdependence. We must let go of seeing success as an outcome of competition. And let go of judgement & fear. Nature’s economy will nourish us, as much as we serve it.
2nd, When we lie to ourselves, we construct unsteady & unsustainable systems. So we must trust what is true, & learn to use honesty & trust, to build an immune system that cleanses us of the pollution of dishonesty & misdirection. This will embed ongoing feedback loops into systems of respect & appreciation.
3rd, We must be in harmony with the Natural systems that made us. We can’t understand
all of the life within Nature
from our limited human intellect. Man-made ideas are not capable of controlling our role in Nature. We must admit that we can’t understand Nature unless we look beyond our brains’ limits. The ironic twist here is that we can’t best learn about other life by looking away from our own. We have to look within ourselves, deeper than just our physical body, to understand life, & to be open to the desire of all life – the desire to live. Each life, of every species, is more than a physical body; it holds a will to live.
4th, Within the power of Nature’s balanced systems, what are the unique abilities we have, & what are the purposes of these? What makes us valuable? To start, we can imagine, think in the abstract, & contemplate the past, present, & future to create that which is not yet occurring in linear time. We can imagine & create from constructs that hold a reverence for all life. These constructs will protect us from creating destruction for ourselves & from causing the destabilization of whatever we impact.
Our abilities can uplift the quality of all life on this planet. We must stop using these abilities to drive our relationships towards destabilization, & our species into self-termination. Despite any abilities we have, we will not survive as a species gone rogue or a cell becoming a cancer. We must work within the patterns of Nature to empower our value in Nature’s processes of enhancing & amplifying all life. This is where we can be of value to the web of life we live in.
5th, We can resolve our imbalances by looking to Nature as our leader, our relationship teacher, our resource manager, our health provider, & the body of life on which we depend for our own lives, our purposes, & our abilities to thrive. A life detached from Nature cannot survive; all are embedded together. It logically & directly follows that to devalue any life, is a step towards devaluing your own life.
6th, We are each valued in the will of Nature. We learn our purposes, & thrive, by synchronizing our steps within the activities of Nature’s will. Aligning our will to live, our steps, & our desires, with those of all life, develops our power to thrive.
The economy of Nature is a family of balanced relationships. When we are aligned & cooperate within the family, we benefit from its strength. When we don’t align & cooperate, we struggle & suffer. Man-made patterns & understandings in opposition to Nature’s economy cause harm, & will naturally be removed in the timing of Nature’s economic design.
Symptoms of human misunderstandings are in the pain & dysfunction we experience mentally, physically, emotionally, & relationally all around the globe. We don’t see this in other species, except in the impact humans have on those species. Thankfully, symptoms are Nature’s signals to us, telling us to look deeper into understanding our value & purposes for being alive.
The Wholeness of all life is a guiding principle for Nature’s comprehensive systems. Humans are not able to replicate these systems, because we don’t have a comprehensive understanding of Nature. But we must try to, & we must remember that our 'try' is never fully complete.
Our embrace of interdependence must build our human systems. We must humbly acknowledge that we are only one part of something very grand. This is difficult because our principals & ethical understandings are based in a human-centric orientation, a compartmentalized ethics. This has been called ‘ordinary ethics’. Ordinary ethics sees human life as the goal of life.
Given we are within the broader principals of Nature, it makes more sense to look at the whole of ethics, rather than a compartmentalized, or ordinary, ethics. Whole ethics doesn't exclude anything of Nature. Again, this is difficult because our human minds don’t understand or have knowledge of the whole scope of the meaning "all life". This is a "mystery of life". We must be willing to live ethically, in reverence of all life. This will come from a wisdom that is not necessarily known intellectually or physically. Yet we know this wisdom with our hearts.
What is an ethical Life? There are no absolute rules to define an ethical life, & there are no achievements for measuring an ethical life. Defining an ethical life is a question of guiding principles. Wholeness principals of Nature must override our compartmentalized principals. Nature’s principals must guide the rules, actions, & behaviors of our ethical systems.
Section 4
I know WE CAN survive & thrive!
How do I know?
Because we have the power of love. And in all of Nature, Love is the most powerful instrument for change. With the power of love, nothing that is needed is surrendered.
Our bodies are made of Nature, & they teach us to use our souls. Our bodies are messengers of nature, carrying the answers we need. Listen to the messages. Hate has toxic chemicals, & it feels painful. Compassion feels powerful & has healthy chemicals that motivate & strengthen the brain. There are so many messages. We must pay attention to the truth, & let go of the lies we imagine. Our bodies are walking sticks for our souls. As our feet realize they are a part of Nature, our souls are less dependent on the sticks.
We are healthiest when we are part of goals greater than what one life can do alone. We will thrive, nourishing our bodies & souls, as we learn to operate in the knowing that each life is significant to our family.

Powerful Emerging Tools & Systems 🌱
[Nature Series, Video #4]
ACT IT OUT!!!! IT’S A PRIVELEDGE TO BE GIVEN THIS!
Relationships from Indiv to Whole:
Synergy – whole -> new (Emergence)
Welcome!
We humans are now a global community. We have the ability & tools to collaborate world-wide to enrich everything we impact, meaning everything that supports us. Our lives are meant to be resources to enrich the world we live in.
I’m Dr LW,
& this video is the 4th in a series of 7 about the awesome value we humans are meant to have within the power of Nature’s balanced systems.
If we engineer our systems to harmonize with the greater patterns of nature, we will empower our value in a process that enhances & amplifies all life, making us valuable in the larger web of life. But we also have the choice to use our lives as tools for destruction. We decide which path to take.
In this video, we will look at questions like:
What are our unique abilities & purposes in this world?
What makes us valuable?
Why don’t we have a world of Peace?
Do we really want that? Is that even possible? How are intelligence & imagination used & misused? How can we better weave imagination & intelligence together, as we create ever-emerging global systems?
We use to see danger as coming from outside of our community or group. It was by outside forces that we were vulnerable prey only to the limited degree that was aligned & balanced in the economy of nature. But now, for the first time in history, we have the ability to destroy all human civilization from within. We have a meta-crisis that we can turn into a meta-opportunity, if we choose wisely.
Our human economy & economic incentives are driving global competition & division, rather than global cooperation & community. Although we will never actually destroy everything, we could destroy the ecosystem that we need to sustain our lives; the same ecosystem we could actually support & enrich. So what will we do next??
In this video, I will go over several roots & symptoms of human problems that block us from peace & from unity; & I’ll take a deep dive into solution-focused goals that would both create & require collective well-being. First I’ll discuss this in the context of a global human community. Then later in the video, I’ll go deeply into our human existence in the context of Nature as a whole. I will specifically look into 7 topics: Economy, Intelligence, Imagination, Peace, Goal-Setting, Unity, & Warning Signals.
I want to make 4 quick points. Then we will dive into the topic of economy.
1st, We have not yet seen the true power of being human, & we won’t until we totally trust that the reality of Nature we live in & are a part of is more complex than our limited consciousness can understand. Still, Nature is the playbook we have been given to build our collective well-being. We can learn from the patterns of Nature to expand our intelligence & our imaginations – this is how we get beyond the misunderstandings of our limited human-centric consciousness. With imagination that is informed by Nature’s ethics & values, we can create what ought to be, & not be stuck in regenerating the latest new version of what is. I will explain this in detail later.
2nd, If we don’t learn from & accept the economy of Nature, we will misunderstand our role in the ongoing synergizing of all life together, the constant emergence of new creations. Our misunderstandings have fertilized our current situation. But it doesn’t have to be this way! We can thrive, when we embrace the opportunities we have in Nature’s economic systems. We can’t control these systems, like a fish doesn’t control the water it swims in; but we can trust Nature. It is time to stop simplycreating systems we can control, & be willing to trust what we can’t control! Our goals must be fueled by attention to what ought to be, & not driven by what we think we can control. As we create goals, they create us.
3rd, We are meant to thrive in nature. To thrive, we have to understand & use peace & unity as elements in our emerging intelligence & imagination. Peace & unity must be embedded elements in our generative dynamics. We can then invent tools, & systems to support goals that are oriented for the well-being of all life.
In the nature section of this video, we will see that the solutions we are looking for, to heal our human systems, are already in existence & in use in the natural world around us. Nature’s balanced economy is foundational to the well-being of all life, including ours.
To thrive & be powerful, we must let go of the idea we can control or compete with the Nature we live within & depend on.
4th, We must understand the roots of our problems. Toxic roots form toxic goals, & the goals reinforce the roots. How do we stop feeding toxic roots? By creating new goals that enrich the world of Nature that we depend on. Our steps to these goals will be our solutions, our new roots.
We are an active part of Nature. We can learn our purposes & develop the power to thrive in the fabric of Nature, by aligning & synchronizing our goals, desires, & steps with those of all life.
ECONOMY
What is the current state of our human emerging economy? What has created it, & how can we shift our trajectory towards creating ongoing emergent goals that uplift our global community, & uplift the Natural world we depend on? Continuing economic goals that have caused fighting within our species, has advanced our capability for self-destruction. So far, economic ideas & inventions to promote cooperation & collaboration have not kept up with our motivations & imaginations that promote competition & division. We have used inventions to divide, compete, & win, rather than use them to collaborate & achieve goals that requirediverse abilities.
We have over invested our imaginations into inventions for competitive winning, & reaching short-term narrow economic goals, rather than investing our imaginations & energies into cooperative & collaborative inventions to on-goingly uplift ourselves & all we impact, where everyone wins. A short-term win for one, at the loss of another, is a long-term loss for all. The only long-term win is a win for all.
Economic goals that benefit all of life may seem impossible to imagine, based on our history. But in the natural world we are made of, what emerges as new is not bound by history & was not seen before. Our imaginations can forecast to a degree. But we tend to forecast destruction because of the tools we have used, & the history that we know. Although we can’t predict new tools that will emerge, if we prepare ourselves for systems of collective well-being, we will create tools we never before imagined (think of tools like electricity, the internet, cell phones, artificial intelligence-we did not see those coming!). Let’s set goals which invent, & use tools to serve life, & not to destroy life. It is time to prepare ourselves by making different choices based on the value of life, & by seeing ourselves as a blessing to this planet, & not as a burden that Earth can no longer carry. We must take an honest look at our goals & what we are creating, because our creations in turn create us.
We have limited our perceptions to a context of competitive parts. This limits & channels our intelligence & motivation into narrow goals, & it blinds our imaginations from seeing & forecasting 2nd order, 3rd order, & further order changes, impacts, risks, & adverse effects of our economic goals. As a result, our motivational landscapes MISUSE IMAGINATION, & this leads to unintended outcomes, both personally, & across global systems of politics, religion, culture, economy, & more. Narrow goals are actually short-term goals, without long-term vision. With narrow goals, resources become tools for profit & money making, rather tools for collective well-being. This is an addictive system,
& is leading us to an evolutionary cul-de-sac. Without economic goals for collective care, we have set our trajectory away from collective well-being, & long-term survival.
Thankfully, we exist within the economy of Mother Nature, the greater system of motivational landscapes which carefully manages the balance & harmony of the production & consumption of wealth & resources, in ways which support the collective of life – the web we live in. This is the system we must continually learn to align & evolve from & within, while knowing we can’t see the whole landscape.
Nature’s strong economy requires diversity. Nature teaches us that the more diverse the synergistic parts in creation, the more integrity & strength of the integration. We must form goals that require using cooperation & interdependence to create the synergy of collective diversity. From this can emerge the next best version of the collective, with each life benefitting from the strength & health of the whole. This version of our collective, will build an immune system, cleansing the pollution of dishonesty, fear, & judgement that misdirect & construct unsteady & unsustainable systems. Our vision & perception, from this context of wholeness, could use intelligence as a tool to serve the well-being of all life.
(I will say more about this in the goals section.)
Technology uses Nature’s power. And so, to be of benefit, technology must be built to align with Nature’s economy. This requires inputting compassionate information into reasoning & interests, to motivate goals for technology. It requires no longer using a
centralized profit for gain
competitive system
of narrow interests & short-term goals. We must embed ongoing feedback loops that require respect & appreciation for all life, into all of our systems, & into all incentive structures. We must also do this in each of our lives. What do you use your intelligence & imagination for? How do you use technology? What do you desire that incentivizes your goals & decisions? Do you pay attention to your role in today’s economy?
Although we are not the goal of Nature, each of our lives holds a very important role within Nature’s economy. It is in these roles that we find our sense & experience of purpose & meaning. The more we are in service to, & unity with, Nature’s powerful systems, the more we empower our own purpose in the world.
Here is an example of a problem in the current version of our economy. We have set ourselves up so that we have to compete for resources, & even compete for safety. We accumulate money, to give a skewed representation of value & position in society – a social competition that can be called the money game. Many people see land ownership as a way to be safe, & to keep others away. We do this as individuals, as communities, & as nations. We compete for land. And in the end of a string of skewed logic, we use war as a tool for trying to accomplish peace by strengthening territorial lines of division, & increasing territorial size. Inventions become tools used in the context that says, “If they do the worst thing, we have to be able to do it better”.
I believe our new version of economy will necessitate peace as a required element in system building. Realize that even if peace is understood to be economically profitable, any economic system that does not REQUIRE PEACE in order to be profitable, eventually re-establishes war. We need an economic system that is built on peace as a necessary element or tool in the foundations of our systems – if we want to survive. Peace will have to be used to acquire resources & to create safety. The emergence of this economy would use cooperation to share & distribute the natural value of resources. As long as the military industrial complex is a portion of economic profitability, we can’t trust that peace can support our needs.
I will explain how this works in a few minutes.
What are we given that gives us the ability to create lives of value, & to uplift the whole world?Within the power of Nature’s balanced systems, what are the unique abilities we have, & what are the purposes of these? What makes us valuable?
We have both intelligence, & we have the ability to imagine,
to contemplate the past, present, & future, & to forecast & create what is not yet linear. We can imagine unseen possibilities
of & for
our goals. We can examine
our assumptions & biases, & see beyond the soup we swim in.
Our human minds have the power to think in the abstract. We must imagine & create systems that require the values of peace, compassion, & unity, creating what ought to be; rather than simply regenerating a new version of what already is. We must input values into our systems, otherwise any system that emerges will have no space for lasting peace. We either imagine & create from constructs that hold a reverence for all life; or we are architects of destruction for ourselves, & we create the temporary destabilization of everything we impact.
Intelligence, used by imagination, can create something new. But without using compassion, there will always be a problem. So far, human intelligence, & human imagination have been misused, & have created the ability to destroy our global population. But we still have the opportunity to use them well, to enrich the whole world, not just ourselves, but the whole family of nature.
What do intelligence & imagination offer?
Intelligence (including artificial intelligence) has information. Intelligence can be learned or it can be organic. But keep in mind, intelligence has no personality or imagination. Void of imagination, it lacks the empathy to create goals that are built on cooperation, compassion, & love.
Human intelligence, untethered from the values & roles we were meant to have in Nature’s economy, has created our current world problems, our meta-crisis, & our man-made systems of self-destruction. Despite our meta-crisis, we are now given a meta-opportunity! It is time to turn to Nature’s playbook, to build collective well-being. This is true whether you do, or don’t, believe in an omniscient Creator OF Nature. Even the most powerful forms of Artificial Intelligence will not control the Power of Nature’s collective Body. Intelligence is meant to be a tool, not a leader, not a goal, not a god, & not even something to be valued in & of itself. Intelligence, including AI, can align with & support the Power of Nature. Intelligence, like a hammer, is a tool. Unused, it has no value; if used with a cruel goal, it is dangerous; & when it is used to build a house, it is a miracle to a person without shelter.
Imagination requires both what is learned & what is organically felt. Imagination, without compassion, drives competition. But imagination can use compassion & empathy to create goals that benefit the collective world, & to create the steps (the solutions), to get to those goals.
With values & goals that prioritize collective well-being, woven together ongoingly, we could constantly emerge new systems of innovation. And the tool of intelligence could support the creation of further tools & means to carry out values, woven into goals, to benefit all life. And I will say more about this in the goals section of this video.
To care for the collective, beyond the community we know, requires a combination of wisdom & abstract thinking.Wisdom brings the different parts of intelligence together, what I call the unity of all wisdoms. This requires purposeful imagination. Nature’s playbook for diversity is the guide for imagination. I’ll say a bit more about this in the unity section.
This type of wisdom is biologically fueled by chemicals created during the experience of compassion. Compassion creates biological chemicals in the human body that motivate actions attuned to collective well-being. Compassion is created from an ethical use of the abstract mind, plus intelligence. And I will go into the values & ethics of this, in detail, in the next video I make on this channel. By using wisdom to guide intelligence (natural or Artificial Intelligence), in service of collective well-being, holistic evolution emerges out of the abstract collective mind. Of course, at the core of this is cooperation & collaboration. Obviously, competition & division can never create collective well-being.
Take a minute to ask yourself, Does what you enjoy cost unintended suffering for someone else? This externalized cost is usually hidden – an indirect link, like secondary smoke or pollution, leading to health problems, or weather changes, crop failures, & families having to leave home & migrate for safety from war or pollution. Or even the cost of war, someone carrying the weight of PTSD, due to our belief that we need war. Who is paying the current emotional & physical costs? Is it someone you don’t know & have never even wondered about? This is your opportunity to imagine a better way, to grow your understanding. Your ego finds its healthy purpose when you look beyond yourself.
Now I want to take a step sideways, & talk about one of my favorite subjects - PEACE!
Peace, like war, is a tool.
Currently, we have perverse economic incentives that depend on the for-profit military industrial complex. This is the largest block of the global economy. Continuing in this way, we can trust the words of Albert Einstein, QUOTE “I know not with what weapons WW3 will be fought, but World War 4 will be fought with sticks & stones.” END QUOTE. It is critical to admit that the current global economic system that has made war so valuable, is not a system that is beneficial to sustaining the life of our species. As long as the military industrial complex is a portion of economic profitability, we will fear that peace can’t support our needs. Even if peace is realized to be economically profitable, an economic system that does not REQUIRE PEACE in order to be profitable eventually re-establishes war.
The conceptual “goal of peace” is really the goal of collective well-being, & requires the TOOL of peace.Goals that do not require peace postpone collective well-being. Peace, like war, is a tool, a chosen path. Peace & war are already available. Peace is a tool that can help create more of itself. Like a hammer can help create another hammer. And war helps create more war.
Intelligence, without compassion, tries to use war as a tool to create peace. But wars create short-term ends like financial profit, land acquisition, & the sense of overpowering or winning. This is not peace.
If we want to be a species that depends on Peace, we can be. We must use intelligence & imagination to create an economic system built on peace as a necessary element, a tool, in the building of our systems’ foundations. Intelligence, without imagination, cannot forecast beyond what is currently known. But Imagination & intelligence can create goals that REQUIRE PEACE as a tool.
We can build systems that dissolve the polluted & misdirected understandings & constructs we have used to create unsteady & unsustainable systems. By not feeding & empowering the mental pollution of fear & division, we can & will create immune systems made of virtue & peace, which will in turn keep fear & division from infecting & directing our man-made systems.
Now I want to turn to ‘GOAL-SETTING’
We choose our goals; they do not choose us. But as we create goals, they DO create us. So we must choose wisely! To set & achieve healthy goals, we must use courage, compassion, accountability, & celebration.
The goals we set begin to create a framework for the way we understand & engineer progress. Narrow, limited goals can blind our imaginations from seeing & forecasting 2nd order, & 3rd, & further order
changes, impacts, & destruction brought by the goals, or by the steps towards the goals. Narrow goals MISUSE our IMAGINATIONs. So we need to choose goals that lead us into healthy understandings of progress, not toxic ones. According to Yajanua, of the Shuar community, QUOTE, “Progress does not apply if it threatens other species or could possibly harm future generations – or if it ignores the Spirits. How could that be progress?” END QUOTE
Narrow goals place the competition for accumulation of materials as a priority over the quality of collective life. They accelerate systems that place one life over another, & lead to an evolutionary cul-de-sac.
An example of competition’s 2nd & 3rd order impact is found in the current money game, which is a competition for narrow profit. This game prioritizes increased profit, & limited or dissolved cost, over the value of life. A glaring example of this is when human energy is harnessed, without paying a money wage, AKA slavery. For example, many people in the Congo are currently enslaved to mine for cobalt used to make batteries for cell phones & lap top computers. Our imaginations can hide these facts & pretend they do not exist, because it is too painful to pay attention, & the level of pain would require immediate change. WE MUST LEARN & PLAY A DIFFERENT overall GAME, not just a new invention in the same game of competition. We must face reality, & learn to enjoy progress & success that advantages everyone.
Cooperation is key to long-term progress. Currently, competition is our default system, rather than cooperation. Competition fosters a lack of trust, leading to existential risks. The human species survival depends on creating ways to communicate & maintain trusted relationships between groups, & not just within groups. This requires goals of, & for, collaborative social operating systems based on cooperation & mutual support.
Many current global goals have not required us to use peace, & cooperation, & an accurate understanding of our power & place in the natural world. Peace & cooperation
have been seen as nice ideas, but not as necessities. These limited goals have limited our use of intelligence & imagination.
We must stretch ourselves, & use our unique mental abilities to imagine, forecast, & create goals beyond what we previously understood was possible. We can & we must discipline ourselves to make longer term goals, aligning goals with a broader vision created from compassion & care for the well-being of all life.
Because our very existence depends on living within a vast community of life, we need an accurate world view, in order to set goals which align with the health of the world we live in.We don’t understand this. As a result, our modern world view has marginalized non-competitive societies & subcultures. Rather than seeing these systems as evidence of human potential, they are seen as dysfunctional by the cultures who hold material wealth as evidence of functionality. This is because of the myth that says lives holding financial & social power should be a ruling class, & others are worth less than those in the ruling class.
Limited goals create man-made systems & social contracts that limit us & cause us to believe that some lives are somehow “less than” others. This can be so subtle, as in the form of an ad that tells us a person is more valued by virtue of having certain products, or by politicians leading us to believe they have a unique power to save us, or employers who require division rather than cooperation. The subtle ways go on & on.
Most people believe they are immune from these subtle mis-directions, & believe they are operating to bring benefit to the world community. But ask yourself, “do I believe anyone is “less than” anyone else?” In the moments you believe in the dignity of one person over another, or one group over another, those are the moments you have stepped away from your wisdom of unity & virtue, even if just for the moment.
Goals of cooperation that consider collective impact require expanded vision, & include all the parts of impact. They forecast 2nd & 3rd order change wherever this can be done. As we look at 2nd & 3rd order impacts (& beyond), we can use abstract thought to factor time, as a tool, into our goals. We like quick outcomes, but the sunset is only beautiful because it occurs over time. This is a visual lesson from nature. Life is not a series of snapshots. It is a creation, like music, whose beauty is not in the individual note, but is best appreciated as a whole song.
According to Albert Schweitzer, QUOTE "We like to imagine that man is nature's goal: but facts do not support that belief." END QUOTE No amount of effort can make nature’s goals orient around humans. So our goals must align, & not conflict, with those of Nature. This seems straight forward. But we struggle to respect Nature’s diversity.
The ecosystem sustains & evolves itself where diversity meets interdependence. We are a part of this ecosystem, & so inherent in us is the need & ability to create goals at the intersection of diversity & interdependence.
This means choosing to
only set goals that honor all lives. This means we stop feeding mental narratives that maintain misdirection, that tell lies, that omit information, or that distort truth.
We have the power of Nature, when we help advance the emerging cooperation of life on earth. Our proper role in the natural world is to be stewards of this Natural power. This requires using collaboration & compassion to set our goals. But if we continue to set goals that require competition & division, we will lose our role in the power of nature.
Goals must enrich the whole of nature, not just humans, as if we are siloed away from the rest of nature. So, how do we do this? Well, first, we must admit that man-made systems (made to reach our goals) have been limited & have blocked us from the power of nature. Our systems contain only fragments of the greater resources & patterns of nature, & so goals that are not aligned with Nature’s economy create man-made systems that do not access the benefits of nature's abundance. These systems create the scarcity that we fear,
& thus that we create.
We force ourselves into limited compartments. Our compartmentalized systems force a false choice between the will to live & the will to love all lives - rather than clinging to both as the seeds for our goals & systems.
We must decide to be protagonists in the global story of Nature. We have to stop being antagonists. Our goals must be created from a desire for all lives to thrive. Not from a desire for our own life to survive, DESPITE community. Current global human systems in play are made more from the goals that compete with other lives, & that externalize costs to other lives, & not from collaborative goals for global well-being.
Listen to the words that structure our goals of exclusion. ‘Property’, ‘border line’, ‘profit’, & other words. These same words, in a world of cooperation, would mean inclusion & sharing, not exclusion & competition. We must make up our minds to put the goals for all life to thrive above our current limited goals. We need a world view that is built from the need to collaborate in the use of resources, not to win in competition for resources.
We must choose peace as a way of relating, not just a hoped for outcome. Once we decide this, we realize peace is an ongoing path over time, not a goal for the future.
The timeline of our existence is also not a goal. Time is not something we can control or hoard. Time is a tool, an element of construction, to be used for living in the fullness of all that life has to offer. If time was a goal in nature, all parts would live long. Nature prioritizes the harmony of all lives overthe amount of time in life. And in that vein, the existence of any species is always precarious within the life of the universe - including our own. It is time to learn to love, over time, as a path, not a goal. What better goal is there? We are one species, interdependent within the community of all life. Even if we consciously value quantity of time over quality, by disregarding the priority of quality for all, we increase the risk of limited quantity for ourselves. This is the cycle of life in its perfection of wholeness. Nature is a oneness, one family, offering resources to all members.
Our goals must be devoted to caring for & serving the lives of those whose lives support our own – that means all life. The destruction of any life impacts our own security.
This brings us to the topic of UNITY. Life is a collective journey, with all lives synergizing together to emerge ever new & beneficial outcomes & creations.
We all, already,
live in unity. But we compete for the best spots, while others struggle to find a spot where they can survive. Let go of seeing success as an outcome of competition.
Experiencing UNITY for the well-being of all is the best spot, the goal. This goal requires both Intelligence & Imagination, & builds from cooperation & compassion. Unity occurs from the focal point of all present in existence. Each holds a unique collection of information, & meets at this focal point. This might sound a bit abstract, but it is a concrete issue. From points of unity, new systems emerge that can serve all life.
We are EACH one, but added together we create systems. There is no dichotomy between the personal world & what appears to be ‘impersonal’, the natural world. The personal world is within what appears to be ‘impersonal’. This is why, when we create antagonistic systems (whether inter-species, or intra-species), we create confusion & we lose our vision of wider & higher truth. The truth is that unity is the operating system of Nature that we live in. We know only a little about unity, & so we think of it as an abstract factor – but it is reality. Each of us is an important part to the whole; & no one is a priority over any other part. An individual operating as a priority is like a cancer cell.
On the other hand, anyone operating for the well-being of all is expressing like healthy DNA, a carrier of important information. Whether cancer or DNA, both impact all others.
You can’t sense harmony, while being antagonistic to life. Your actual life is in harmony, a protagonist, in action with the flow of all life emerging together. But if you are internally against this, or refusing to cooperate with Nature’s flow, you will be un-well in one or more ways.
Clarity in life comes from the harmony we create when we are protagonists (willing actors in nature). This clarity brings the ideas of unity & love into practical purpose. They are not just nice ideas or ways to feel. They make us live better.
Ask yourself, “Am I willing to accept that honesty is often inconvenient & uncomfortable? Do I love people who I do not like? Am I willing to have empathy for everyone, even if it means I then get a glimpse of what it is like to walk in their shoes, & maybe even see how I have to change in order to support the well-being of all, rather than the well-being of the people I most like & agree with?”
When we don’t ask these questions, we can be led into man-made systems that are selfish smears of fog hiding reality. But reality is where we actually live - no matter what selfish lie we want to imagine is true. The truth is, that just as the land & sea & sky depend on each other, & like the stars, planets, & moons do, we depend on each other, & on other species, for our balanced existence.
Cooperation & interdependence serve to create the synergy of the collective. Nature teaches us that the more diverse the synergistic parts in creation, the more integrity & strength are present in what emerges. There is much to learn from this lesson. We can experience the next best version of the collective, with each life benefitting from the strength & health of the ever-emerging whole.
Nature’s economy provides for unity. For example, Nature dissolves any barriers to balanced generating cycles of energy provision, distribution, & regeneration. We must dissolve the barriers limiting our imaginations & creativity, so that we can align our creations to serve within these generating cycles. Without imagining, creating, & living out unity, we doubt the possibilities & provisions of what is not yet emerged, & we create more division & scarcity. This furthers a misuse of imagination, & limits us to narrow goals in our evolutionary cul-de-sac, separating us from greater possibilities beyond what we already know.
We don’t see this misuse of imagination in other species. We have strangely used the power of our imaginations to create stories that claim we have roles of power over other people, & over the power of Nature - roles that we cannot ever have. When facts haven’t supported our imagination, we create stories that say our imagined stories are real. These false narratives & beliefs create further problems.
We can't compel Nature to follow our false sense of authority over Nature. Nature cannot submit to the human agenda of positioning humans over the rest of Nature. When we tell ourselves that humans can control Nature, we create a false sense of separation - thinking Nature won’t cooperate with our agenda. But we can only control our part in Nature, a part that can be so powerful & full of awesome possibilities! Humans are perfectly positioned to powerfully serve & thrive in Nature. To the degree we that will serve Nature, we will thrive in our role as powerful servants.
Thankfully, Nature is more powerful than any human force. We did not create Nature. And we will not destroy Nature.
Before I get into Nature’s Solutions, I want to talk about the warning signals, & the information Nature gives us, that alerts us, when we are destructive & need to be constructive. So, What is THE Information we humans need to see, in order to solve the problems we have created,
& in order to be a benefit, not a cost, in Nature’s economy?
Nature signals to us when our goals are misaligned, toxic, or unhealthy. These signals alert us to learn about, & solve, underlying issues. If we think the signal IS the problem, & is the main thing to see & solve, we don’t see the actual issue causing the signal.
Examples of signals for misaligned goals are: physical, mental, emotional, relational, & societal pain & disfunction all around the globe. These signals are information, different than intelligence. They tell us where & how to pay attention. For example, Nature uses emotions to signal to us about our thoughts & actions. Emotions are signals. Emotions are not good or bad. They are like the game of hide & seek, when you tell someone whether they are hot or cold as they get closer to the hidden item. As you get closer to the actual issue, you may feel more of the heat in the emotion, the signal.
When there is a problem, & we ignore or dissolve the signal without solving the root problem, we get replacement signals – again signaling that there is an underlying problem interrupting health & well-being. We have to go to the root of the problems & be willing to stop feeding them.
We have signals like hatred, blame, & the anxiety we create for ourselves & even for other species. We have physical outcomes of the stressful energy we create as we try to force our systems against the power of Nature. The brains that Nature formed in us were not made for traumas like war, chronic hunger, torture, sexual exploitation, racism, & other systemic issues. We see signals like depression, bullying, war, Post Traumatic Stress Issues, murders, & suicides. These are signals. Misaligned forceful energy creates misaligned thoughts, actions, & reactions. We don’t see these in other species, except in the impact humans have on those species.
To continue operating in misaligned narratives that misdirect us, we tell ourselves that the signal IS the problem, thus taking the spotlight & responsibility away from the actual problem. If we think the signal IS the problem & the main thing to solve, we don’t solve the actual problem, & we get replacement signals – again signaling that there is an actual underlying problem.
We have to go to the roots of the problematic misalignment & be willing to stop feeding the roots. We have to make simple, yet complex choices. Do we choose short-term goals that increase comfort for some, at the cost of discomfort for others? Do we enjoy short-term desires that cause harm to the habitat over time? Or do we align with nature, & refuse to have goals that harm the ecosystem, the habitat that supports us, even it is uncomfortable & doesn’t have obvious immediate payoff.
Here is some wonderful news. As we transcend to a new plane of healthier living, our physical bodies also become more attuned to what is beneficial, & what is not. Our bodies give us signals to guide us into an upgraded existence for collective well-being. As soon as we align, Nature responds exponentially in all ways, on all planes.
The power of mother nature to create life is much greater than the power of humans to destroy life. Nature limits our ability to destroy. Our reach to kill is only as far as our reach to conquer. Our ability to conquer impacts what sustains our lives. If we won't cooperate with the Nature we are a part of & being created by, we become like cancer, taking more than is our healthy share. But Nature is self-healing & constantly evolving. So we must align, if we want to continue to exist.
Now I will go into how Economy, Intelligence, Imagination, Peace, Goal-Setting, Unity, & Warning Signals relate to the human existence in the context of Nature as a whole.
Nature is not a commodity we rule over. Humans are not separate from Nature. Nature is a family system we are embedded in & dependent on. Seeing Nature as a set of commodities we control is a perversion, & leads us into ideas of scarcity, & systems of competition over finite resources, thus creating a self-fulfilling prophesy. But we can shift our trajectory & embrace the reality of Nature’s comprehensive provision & nourishment, which feeds all systems of collective well-being.
How do we do this? We have tended to ask ourselves, ‘How should we understand nature, in order to save ourselves?' But this is the wrong question. If we want to change our trajectory, the better question is, ‘How do we best understand nature, in order to respect the purpose & meaning of each life in the world, including our own?’
We must completely accept that our physical bodies are a part of Nature, & controlled by nature. If we continue to ignore that Nature’s laws control us, & continue trying to outsmart Nature’s economy, we will continue to be antagonists to Nature’s abundant provisions. This is not realistic, & is like a fish refusing to accept that it has to swim in water. The fish may think it is smart enough to live on land. But the laws of nature are not about intelligence, they are about reality. No amount of intelligence (even artificial intelligence) will give humans the power to control the laws of Nature. This is good news. No amount of human destruction changes what we are supposed to learn, & who we are supposed to be, in this amazing Natural system.
We choose whether to enrich ourselves in the joy of being a part of this awesome world of Nature, or whether to suffer in despair by belittling the Nature we are physically made of. It is a privilege to be embedded with each other in Nature. We can have total freedom FROM self-destruction in the balance & equanimity of nature.
Systemic Solutions are right in front of our eyes. But so far, we live in the solutions, while refusing to participate! But, if we nourish the parts of Nature that we impact, we will nourish ourselves. We are members of Nature’s healthy family. We can either increase, or miss out on, the family resources & relationships.
What can we do to change & align with the rest of nature, & to use our unique skills to benefit all life?
We must willingly participate in Nature’s grand economy for all life, rather than continue in our human-centric economy. If we don’t, we will continue the pendulum swing of our illusions - swinging between self-destruction & self-salvation. But, neither is real. We decide whether to humbly be included in Nature's economy of caring & sharing the resources for life, or not. Our behavior asserts our decision. Clear outcomes will be created by our choice to humbly participate in Nature's balanced system, or to believe we are external & can manufacture outcomes external to the laws of Nature. Even the most powerful forms of Artificial Intelligence won’t control the Power of Nature’s collective Body. But Artificial Intelligence can align with, & support, the Power of Nature.
We cannot kill off Nature. We cannot change Nature's laws. But we can destroy ourselves, & what directly supports us.
However! If we cooperate with the rhythms & cycles of nature, we can learn & evolve within nature’s process, a process that enhances & amplifies life. Respecting & honoring our lives within the context of nature is life-affirming. It informs us of where our power is. As we impact & uplift the Nature we are embedded in, we support & ensure our place in the web of life. The opposite is to operate in weakness, greed, & hoarding - out of fear that we can't trust Nature. But the truth is that we have not yet seen the full power of being human, & we won’t until we totally trust that Nature
holds more than our limited consciousness can know. Nature is forever guiding & empowering us to make choices that are powerful beyond what we can ever imagine with our limited intellect. Nature operates in the present, while unfolding ever-emerging seasons, cycles, & patterns of abundant, radiant beauty.
In Nature’s family, we have a unique kind of imagination & intelligence that can uplift the quality of all life on this planet. By denying ourselves our best role in nature, we have used these abilities to drive our relationships into destabilization, & our species into a meta-crisis of potential self-termination. Despite any abilities, we will not survive as a species gone rogue or a cell becoming a cancer. Thankfully, we can resolve the imbalances we have by looking to nature as our leader, our relationship teacher, our resource manager, our health provider, & the body of life on which we depend for our lives, our purposes, & our abilities to thrive.
In order to live, we know we must be in harmony with the Natural systems that are creating us. We try to understand Nature’s systems from our limited human intellect. From this limited mind, we have tried to define the parameters of nature, without knowing all the factors involved in nature. Now, we either have to humbly admit we don’t understand; or, we will continue to wrongly believe our limited man-made ideas are capable of controlling our place in Nature.
Rumi said, QUOTE “ Leave thinking to the one who gave intelligence. Stop weaving, & watch how the pattern improves.” END QUOTE We can’t understand Nature without looking past what we already know. The ironic twist here is that we best learn about life by looking away from our own; & at the same time, we have to look within ourselves, deeper than just a limited physical body, to understand life, & to be open to the desire of all life – the desire to live.
Knowledge of the physical world is always incomplete. In contrast, the love living in each of us holds the highest form of knowledge, not bound in books, or even in the capacity of human intellectual boundaries. Love’s wisdom is universal & has no end. With the power of love,
nothing that is needed is surrendered.
The opposite of trusting & respecting the power of Love’s truth is to Fear Nature & to force fear’s insanity. But when trust is added to fear, hope emerges, & physical energy is transformed. Love is the most powerful instrument for human change.
Humans tend to deny our own power in love, & create operating systems which prioritize life over love, & thus short-sighted selfishness over self-respect. This is one reason we have difficulty imagining the priorities & possibilities of nature. When we cannot define the boundary or regulation of a system, our thoughts have difficulty holding a respect or ethical attitude for the system. We are a part of Nature’s family, a family we don’t control (other than controlling our own behavior), & so we must respect this community, that we do not control, in order to respect our own lives.
We need to understand the world through minds that know we are dependent on our collective well-being.Life is only found in accuracy, not in fallacy. Self-care comes from the respect of all life. Do you think about the life of a squirrel that runs across your path, or the bug sitting near you? Do you take even a few seconds to let yourself see all the bits of life around you? This is how to open doors & flow with life. Don’t push against it.
Your body is the walking stick for your soul. As your feet realize they are secure in Nature’s family, you can look beyond your feet, & your soul becomes less dependent on the stick.
What are Nature’s goals? Nature’s goals are process goals, meaning they
Goals & Tools to Uplift All Life💖
[Nature Series - Video #5]
Titles?
Values to thrive vs. evolutionary cul-de-sac. Intelligence tools married to wisdom.
Addiction to war as a tool – Peace waits for us – the withdrawal & recovery process. Psychology
Welcome!
We are at a pivotal point in human history! I’m excited to take a look in this video at how our values now, set the trajectory for global opportunity or global catastrophe! How does this work? Values steer the evolution of our intelligence (including artificial intelligence) & of our wisdom – intelligence being the ability to achieve goals, & wisdom being the ability to create goals that are in service to all life. Our values are not only held within our societal structures, systems, institutions, & cultures, but they hold these in place. So we need to choose values that access & understand the importance of wisdom, not just the importance of intelligence.
This video has 7 sections. We will look at misaligned values that inform humanly engineered struggles & crises;
the importance of being actively aware of values that align us with the offerings of Nature;
how & why we humans are collectively engineering a trajectory towards world peace or global destruction;
the psychology & cultural belief systems we are addicted to, which are short-circuiting our ability to set a responsible trajectory for our species;
the possibilities of, reasons for, & difficulties with shifting our trajectory outside the box of the limited values & beliefs we are currently addicted to;
the values that can save & inspire our species & align us with the rest of Nature;
& the multi-level withdrawal symptoms that will occur in a recovery process from cultural addictions, & will have species-wide impacts. And each of these sections does have threads that run throughout the video.
I’m Dr LW, & you’re watching WPH. This channel is meant to help us understand root causes of problems, develop solutions, & see our potential for life, for beautiful relationships, & for the opportunities to plant seeds that grow unending possibilities for all life. Please subscribe, if you like the videos.
Many of you have asked if this is a picture. This is out a window, so we can see nature, while we talk about being a part of it in awesomeness!
Speaking of Nature, our values must become aligned with the values of the Natural world we depend on,
live within, & cannot control. As we go through the video, if you are asking, ‘Why is it important to know about the values of Nature?, know that the values of Nature control us. We do not control them.
Much of this video is informed by the wisdom of the natural world we are made of & live in. Tuning into Nature’s wisdom requires attention to aspects of life we are unable to measure, & don’t fully understand. We will discuss tuning into the values that inform the choice-making structures of Nature as a whole, so that we are empowered as we live in the evolving, emerging life of Nature.
This is the 5th video in a series of 7 I’m doing about how we humans have created dysfunctional roles for ourselves in Nature, & how we can heal our roles for the benefit of our relationships with all of life. The information in each video dovetails with the others, & so I am going to share a little information from the other videos that is relevant to this video.
One video in this series is about our human role in Nature, the quality which, of course emerges from the quality of our relationship with Nature. Nature is a brilliant community, a family system, that we are embedded in & grow from. It is a perversion for us to see Nature as a commodity that we are not a part of, or that we rule over.
Another video Is about The economy of Nature, meaning Nature’s careful management of its wealth & resources, & its balancing of production & consumption, to best support the collective whole of all lives. Nature is not human-centric. Nature’s economy can be thought of as a body, where each species is meant to be a valuable part of the body, each holding a valuable role for the body. This economy carefully determines its allocation of inter-related resources, just like your body determines where to send blood, nutrients, & healing to all of its parts. Production & consumption of all resources are balanced to constantly work towards fulfilling the needs of the whole of life in Nature. When we serve & cooperate in this economy of collective well-being, then we will experience the strength, the abundant resources, & the healing power of the whole body of Nature.
Another video is about the language of humans WITHIN the language of Nature. Language is a collection of symbols we use to express ourselves. But it is also a strong & potent ingredient in the emergence of values, cultures, & ways of life. Nature can guide us, as we ongoingly create language.
And another video in this series is about The Cyclical & Seasonal Patterns of Nature. Nature uses TIME as a construct to structure & support the patterns of life. It is important to learn to connect & flow, both personally & socially with the patterns Nature places in each of our lives, in our species, & that our species is placed within. Nature has cycles which build upon each other. We must trust these cycles; & not try to control them. Because no amount of effort will make Nature’s patterns orient around humans.
Sometimes we know the reasons for our own cycles & seasons in life, & sometimes we don’t. The snowflake knows a bit about winter. But if the snowflake doesn’t know its grander purpose, it doesn’t know it is water, & so it fears it will die in the spring. But it doesn’t die; it transforms! Each of our lives, & our species, also go through seasons. We must learn to trust & accept that there is purpose in all the seasons of our lives, even the most difficult.
So let’s get into it!!!
First I want to explain why this video is even important.
Values create our thoughts, our decisions, our behavior patterns & our global systems.Values are the nutrients in the soil of our minds, creating collective choice-making architectures for our systems, our actions, & then further decisions. Our minds are gardens, growing & supporting ever evolving intelligence, & solutions for action. Tools used as an extension of intelligence, including Artificial intelligence, when used by choice-making architectures bound by wisdom, can be in service to all life. But any tool, including Artificial Intelligence, that is not bound by wisdom’s values, will serve us a meta crisis. If the mind is a toxic soil, it is unable to create thoughts & actions that recognize & respect the abundance of life.
Our collective experience emerges from the values we live according to. Do we humans even pay attention to the importance of how our values impact our human psychologies, & thus the quality of our lives, our relationships, & the global systems we create?
Because we have thought of Nature as a commodity we ruled over & could manipulate, & not as a family we are embedded in & dependent on, we created a perverse value system that blinded us from understanding the value system of Nature that we actually do depend on. We must learn & understand what Nature values, if we are to have access to its abundant power. We must heal our skewed values.
Here is a brief, & very condensed overview of the 7 sections in this video, in case you prefer to take the deep dive of watching the whole video at a later time.
1st, I will share about how the values held in our current state of collective engineering, rather than leading us into long-term & sustainable goals & solutions, how they have instead created institutions, & system structures which are reactive & respond to the needs of life in ways that create PROBLEMatic contexts of scarcity, & generate more systems that further the contexts of scarcity. We created these by not consciously & wisely choosing values that emerge from a context of sharing & abundance, where every life has unmeasurable value. For example, we have created an economy with values that misaligned our supply & demand patterns & systems from those of the natural world we must operate within. Consequently, in 2021, 5.7 million children under the age of 5 years old were on the brink of death from starvation. We have blinded ourselves from our best role in nature’s family, & in the year 2023, at least 11 million children under the age of 5 are facing extreme hunger on a planet where nature offers abundance for everyone. Also in 2023, at least 783 million people do not know where their next meal will come from. How is this possible, on a planet where there is plenty of food to feed everyone? And the food crisis is just one example. We have also structured systems for war from values that are not aligned with peace. What is going on? Our values are misaligned! We can & we must heal human made crisis, in a world where nature is providing more than enough. We must look beyond finding sustainable resources for ourselves, and make ourselves a sustainable resource serving all life.
Values motivate & guide our actions. They are the filter through which we see the world & understand our roles in it. We must actively choose our values; otherwise we passively adopt the values we are exposed to most frequently, passively believing these values are best, rather than asserting values from wisdom. Our values equip us to improve life, or to destroy life. No one is an exception; every life is critically important.
2nd, I will take a deep dive into WHY VALUES are so IMPORTANT. Our beliefs & actions are values-based. By choosing values worthy of our lives’ meanings & purposes for the world, we can turn any human meta crisis into a meta opportunity. Toxic values drive closed systems’ addictions to toxic incentives. Wise values drive the freedom to constantly emerge new
life-affirming potentials.
Healthy Values protect us from fear, from short-sighted automatic reactions, & they empower us to respond to life in ways that enrich us & enrich the environment we impact. For a macro example, trusting & using values aligned with peace, protects us from reacting to war tools with a reaction of building more advanced war tools to compete in war. Instead, a response that uses values aligned with peace will drive innovations & tools of peace, & an economy of life that thrives by giving systemic value to, & incentives for, these tools. This is not an economy that puts a value on competitive tokens (like money) to represent power. It is an economy that puts value on sharing resources that empower all life. It is an economy that uses wisdom to inform intelligence.
3rd, I will discuss Addiction. More specifically, I’ll discuss our addictions to current toxic & intoxicating incentives that are built into our economy, our politics, our religions, what we choose to eat, & more, & the self-reinforcing, self-destructive evolutionary cul-de-sac these systems have sucked us into. An example is our addiction to the tools of aggression, the incentives attached to them, & outcomes like war. In section 5, I talk about the withdrawal process of this kind of addiction.
In section 4, I’ll discuss the powerful, potent, & difficult SHIFT we can & must make into understanding that the IDEA OF GROWTH must be applied to the quality of life, & not to material metrics or competition. Growing the quality of any life benefits every life; whereas, attempting to create growth according to the metrics of limited materials creates increased competition & scarcity for some – a lose / lose for all over time. The goals involved in growing the quality of life, rather than the quantity of materials is sometimes called post ‘growth’, as it is a world beyond financial accumulation, a world where the idea of ‘getting more’ is about more respect & value for each life. This changes the incentive structure. This will shift us into a world where abundance in one space or life does not create scarcity in another. This is a shift in human values, shifting to the abundance found in the values of Nature. What values are these? Think about what your goals are, what you wish for, what you want. Even the desires that include money are for goals that create meaning, purpose, happiness, connection, & more. So figure out what values your desires hold in you, that money can’t buy. Those are the kind of values that will create the systems where no child will starve.
5th – Is about how the shift will require the letting go of, & withdrawal from, what is no longer serving us; & this will require us using powerful values to motivate & tolerate the (sometimes painful) withdrawal process that occurs during recovery from addiction. Even indigenous societies that have remained independent of modern-day cultural structures are impacted by the human family system, & so they are also at risk of the trauma addictive systems create. A micro example is that of a family system. Where there is an addiction, even if you are not the active addict, you still feel the trauma of the system you are impacted by. And you notice the withdrawal process. We are one family!
To the degree there is addiction & recovery, there will be a noticeable peeling away of, or withdrawal from, the addictions. Withdrawal is experienced as we let go of the old fuel, the toxic value-based addictive incentives that have been our motivation & energy source. But as we discover the new, healthy values that energize us to create the emergence of what we want,,, the discomfort, disorientation, emptiness, & fatigue of withdrawal will subside. We can lessen the discomfort of withdrawal by intentionally silencing the ego, silencing the senses of entitlement, meaning decoupling previous comforts from what we expect of the evolving new sources of comfort. Comfort will come! This requires trusting the unknown; expecting to align with systems that value & respect all lives; & tolerating an ego void, or a time of disorientation between the familiar addictive paradigm & the new paradigm found in recovery. As Richard Bach says, ‘QUOTE What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the Master calls a butterfly.” END QUOTE The space of withdrawal is like being told to “go to your room & think about what you’ve done, & think about what you really want”. Thankfully, we are not inventing something new; we are figuring out that life serving values of abundance already exist in Nature, & we will discover them in each of our lives, as we discover that we are a powerful part of Nature’s abundance.
The 6th section is about aligning Human values with the values that are already operating in Nature. These values emerge from a whole of nature context, rather than a human-centric context. Nature’s values create & sustain all life. In this process, these values are revealed in each life, including in each of us. Your life is a mysterious existence, interwoven WITHIN all life, & thus you are of value TO all life.
In section 7, we will look at Collective Engineering, the way we are collectively creating the evolution of our species. We will look at the way we are doing it, & the way we could do it. To make our species sustainable & full of meaning & joy, we must collectively learn & follow the values of nature. Our creations & behaviors are so important, because even after our physical death, all creations & actions will continue to have an effect.
We live in an amazing world. So how can we experience the best of it? Each community’s values create a culture. And together, these create the culture of our species at large. How can this huge culture change in a way that cares for everyone? Here’s an analogy - The bigger the ship, the more effort it takes to change the trajectory, an effort that may seem impossible. Despite the overwhelming problems of redirecting the ship, the massive waves moving underneath & around the ship can be what is most terrifying, but also most moving! Nature’s waves will change the trajectory of our ship. The Good News is that We CAN let these waves guide us into aligning, embracing, & cooperating with the power held in the water, the power the boat dependents on. We can move & thrive with the power of Nature we are in. That is what this video is about – the ways & discomfort of the dive we must make, into aligning our species with the vibrant interdependency of a powerful world.
Before I get into the sections, I want to let you know I have appreciated you letting me know there are points in these videos you hadn’t considered before. Please also make those comments in the public youtube comment section below the video, so that you can highlight them for other people to notice too. Thank you!
Section # 1
We have a life & death responsibility to choose values that require us to use intelligence that is married to wisdom, as we form goals, motivations, thoughts, actions, & global systems. Intelligence, used without wisdom, drives us into destruction.
For example, we place a high value on money, as though it is the utmost measure of everything. But it is just a token or proxy for determining the value of something, according to the measure of its extractable resource value. This value is not equivalent or aligned with the value structure of Nature. Money metrics can’t measure the actual worth of something. One tree, cut down, is worth the price of wood. But one tree, according to the value system of nature, is a home to generations of diverse species, it gives clean air for life, it gives shade to save lives, it is food & it is so much more than what money could ever measure. We know financial measures are limited; but then we trick ourselves to act as if financial metrics are the most important way to measure value. This plays into creating the perception of scarcity in a limited extractable resource environment, thus increasing desire & demand in a closed feedback loop. When greed or fear settle into this, we have addiction to limited resources for limited goals.
Money has no intrinsic value. But because money is a token, it gives us options for its use in the realm of acquiring extractable resources. Because the supply of extractable resources is limited, they are considered more valuable, thus making the acquisition of money appear to be an important goal. Current systems that operate according to money metrics create addiction, chasing after what is limited, seeing the parameters of what is valuable according to financial measures. This is a false understanding, creating a false dependence on what is not life sustaining, creating problems where the attempted solution is more money, & thus an addictive cycle is built into the economy of this system. We don’t have to do it this way!
Further, our use of finite materials is exponentially growing. Money is exchangeable mainly for things that we eventually will deplete. In the process of depleting, we create competitions, scarcities, & eventually war, in an effort to gain control over finite materials. This is incompatible with the values of the Natural world we depend on. I will talk about Nature’s values in section #6. Nature’s values include that which humans cannot deplete, but which we can enrich. We must align our values with those of the natural world we are a part of, or we will deplete ourselves.
The accurate value of anything is beyond our human knowledge. Yet we box ourselves into limited & perverted value systems, blinding & limiting ourselves from advantageous values we cannot own or control. Yet we limit ourselves to thinking we can be in charge of Nature, thus limiting our ability to be interdependent with Nature’s power. Nature is greater than the sum of its parts, & we are one of the amazing parts.
Here is an interesting metric about our interdependence & the state of our current trajectory. According to Nate Hagens, 10,000 years ago, there were 15,000 lbs of mammals for each human. In the year 1800, there were 200 lbs of mammals for each human. Now, in 2023, there are 5 lbs of mammals for each human. Make of this what you will. But this trajectory does not serve the lives of humans or other mammals. Yet we continue in this trajectory because of our addiction to false values about life.
We humans limit our values because we see human life as the priority & goal of Nature. As a result, we limit ourselves to compartmentalized values, seeing each species as separate, & compartmentalized in its own silo within Nature. This perspective creates a massive blind spot in our ability to envision & act in alignment with our interdependence in the plethora of life & resources that exist in the collective body of Nature. Instead of choosing values that recognize abundance, & that recognize the need to mutually share with all life, as though our lives depend on it, we have chosen values that put human life over the priorities of other life, & in so doing, we limit ourselves to the finite resources we think we can control. This creates the context of scarcity, competitions for resources, & the outcome of putting certain human lives over other human lives. We are like a cell that sees itself as the goal of the body. Greedily eating the host, the cell destroys what supports it, & thus starves itself. As Gandhi said, "QUOTE Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not everyman’s greed. END QUOTE.”
We want to limit the idea of value to what we can measure. And what we can’t measure, we are willing to appreciate, but not to admit its value & our interdependence with it. What is not finite we can’t measure, & so we don’t use money to measure it. Given that money is how we mainly determine value, we run into a big problem.
What if all water was considered to be Holy water, & all air considered blessed by sacred incense, & all land the cemetery of saints? Why does everything have to be impacted by humans in some special predetermined, often religious way, in order to be revered as valuable & irreplaceable?
Section 2
Our values are so important, they can turn a meta crisis into a meta opportunity. How, you ask?
All of our decisions, coming together, create the trajectory for our human species. Each decision we make is value based. Values are the nutrients in the soil of our minds, creating the collective choice-making architectures for our systems, actions, & further decisions. Minds are gardens of thoughts, growing & supporting ever evolving ideas & solutions for actions that uplift life, or destroy life over time. If the mind is a toxic soil, it is unable to create thoughts & actions that recognize & respect the abundance for life that exists. Tools used as an extension of intelligence, including Artificial intelligence, when used by Choice-making architectures bound by wisdom are in service to, & uplift, all life. But Artificial Intelligence, or any tool, not bound by wisdom is serving us a meta crisis.
We can’t grow or create outside of our chosen values, because we don’t choose what we do not value. Values are the flashlight to see a map for life. We choose the flashlight. So pause! Look & see the map, & see where it will lead you. Then choose whether the values that inform your vision are the ones you want to keep.
Current values inform, create, & nurture the emergence of our future responses & solutions. Certain values give us meta information – they give us information beyond the data points we currently identify. Meta information exists within the wisdom we swim in & are made of – the collective body of life. Values that tap into meta-information originate from a Whole of Nature Context, while our current limited values originated from a Human-centric context. The human-centric contexthas limited our minds & imaginations from the opportunities that we will see using a Whole-Nature context.
We can’t predict what will emerge as Nature unfolds. Historical evidence shows us that Nature’s values include information our brains don’t have. The wisdom in Nature’s values encompass the complete knowledge of every life. Nature factors each life into every decision about a season, a temperature, a rainfall, a birth, or a death. Our human minds can’t see all these factors or know the needs of all lives. We can’t understand, or even know the scope or meaning in the phrase "all of life". We can’t comprehend the balancing act that Nature performs every minute. But we must trust, align, & let a whole-of-Nature context guide our decisions & values, or we will destroy ourselves & cease to exist.
Here is an example about misaligning & aligning with nature. Humans are not natural predators. But, misaligned with Nature’s values, we have used our intellectual strength to build predatory systems, making us unnatural predators. This has led us into unnatural states of competition. We are building new tools, like CRISPR & AI. Inside the same predatory systems, the impact of the tools we create will be destructive, self-reinforcing, & addictive. However, this same intellectual capacity, combined with values aligned within nature, will give us the wisdom to shift from competing with life, to being STEWARDs of life, able to use intelligence to invent & use tools, such as CRISPR or AI, to empower the cooperation of all life. But if we go further in our current trajectory, we will continue using misaligned values to justify the competitions that fuel killing & war. This will eventually circle back in a feedback loop of unhealthy values against those holding these values that are against life – & this makes those holding them ignorant of the value of their own lives. Healthy values, like compassion, (& those I will spell out later) can uplift life beyondwhat seemed to be a glass ceiling, by using wise values for innovations & the integration of
life-empowering solutions. Values of compassion, cooperation, collective credit, respect, mutual understanding for comprehensive knowledge, & more, give us the wisdom & courage to trust in mutual sharing, to know that this is where the meta solutions originate, “Outside the box”, outside of the limited ideas we had when we were stuck in systems of competition, greed, & fears of scarcity.
Values of dominating, hoarding, & benefitting oneself at the cost of others make us predatory, ignorant, & teach us faulty lessons – like the belief we must compete against & control other life, in order to be satisfied. But the result of these unwise predatory values is that we have become the only species that can temporarily downgrade the planet’s resources. I say temporarily, because when Nature heals, we will be included only to the degree that we cooperate within the world of Nature we are made of. Any toxic & ignorant value reactions to division, further exclude & divide lives. But wise values of unity & inclusion, create tools to develop & empower life & interdependent cooperation.
Humans can uplift the entire world of resources in ways no other species can. This unique power is ours when we value compassion, respect, appreciation & cooperation for & with the experiences of others. These values teach us to create the tools for operating in the power of our reason to be here! This is our great challenge, our opportunity, & our responsibility. Will we go for it, or will we take the lazy way out with greed, fear, & hoarding, creating the scarcity of resources that we depend on, & thus creating the endangerment of our own species. We make ourselves powerful, or powerless, by aligning with the power we were meant to have, or not. If we reject our opportunity, the opportunities that have been waiting for us will be transferred elsewhere & Nature will find another source to uplift Nature’s family.
So here is some really Good news! Developmental phases are always unsustainable. Why is that good?! Well, each phase of development is linear. But then, the jump from phase to phase doesn’t have to be linear, meaning it can bring what we thought was impossible into the realm of possibilities. In fact, in nature, changes are often these quantum leaps. Think beyond human linear creation. Think about Nature’s bigger way of creating - a caterpillar becomes a butterfly; life inside the womb is dependent, & then it is birthed into its own body. From the point of view of the caterpillar, or the unborn, no clue was given for what to expect. We are the caterpillar in the cocoon, or the unborn in the womb, but only if we accept the unknown possibilities. If we refuse to trust wise values that we don’t fully understand, we stop our own growth & opportunity, & we control our development from within the confines of our present state of being. That is just NOT SMART!
So Get ready for changes! We don’t know what will cease to exist & what will emerge. But we can trust that nothing will cease that is serving life’s collective well-being. For quality of life, & the existence of our species, values are more important than things. Why? Because wise values are durable, & last as long as we trust them. They inform us of what our intelligence cannot. We are not able to know what will remain materially. So we must do our best to be a part of what is serving the collective well-being. If we are going to hoard anything, let’s hoard wise values.
Wise Values come from, & create, a Whole-of-Nature context, & a reverence for all life. Everything alive is choosing to be alive. Nature does not use human values or even human achievements to measure the value of a life. Life is not about achievement. Achievement is completion. But life is a process, not a completion!
The value of a life is an ethical construct, found & understood in the Wholeness context of nature, where the existence of life is greater than the sum of its parts, where each part’s true value is only known when seen within the whole collective. The value of a life won’t be found in the compartmentalized thoughts of human minds, divisions, categorizations, organizing principals, or competitions.
We ask ourselves, "How should we understand nature in order to save ourselves?'" But this is the wrong question. If we want to save ourselves & our species, the better question is, "How do we best understand Nature, in order to value the purpose & meaning of all life in the world?" This is how we save ourselves!
Section #3 is about our addiction.
Misaligned, or short-sighted values have led us into our modern day addictions to toxic values & incentives.
Addictive systems have the appearance of offering short-term success, but they create expanding problems over time. Most of the systems we use to steer our human global community have addictive, short-term self-reinforcing incentives, & are self-destructive over time. We continue to choose them because, based on toxic values, they appear as paths out of problems & into solutions. Some examples are for one group to gain dominance over another, or for individuals to compete against others in the money game, or to accumulate power to engineer short-term solutions, at the cost of another’s ability to be empowered in all of their life’s potentials; or using tools of aggression, & the incentives attached to them, resulting in outcomes such as war; using violence in the name of justice; killing a life for short-term nourishment, but rippling pain into other lives; religious externalization of responsibility onto others as scapegoats, implying they do not belong & are not entitled to an empowered life of equal reverence, or that they are excluded from an afterlife. These belief systems are addictive & block our ability to cooperate & align with powerful, abundant resources.
According to Arthur Koestler, QUOTE “If one looks with a cold eye at the mess man has made of history, it is difficult to avoid the conclusion that he has been afflicted by some built-in mental disorder which drives him toward self-destruction.” END QUOTE.Addiction to what we think we can control, leaves us dependent on:
the mental denial that we must trust that which is beyond our control & beyond our human-centric understandings,
& the mental denial that we are a part of something greater than ourselves, which we can’t control.
Addictions block us from trying to understand.
The reason addiction continues is because of our ignorance of the path out, the path of peace; there is an ignorance of, or lack of confidence about the power of community to support us through the pain of withdrawal from toxic paths. & I will talk about the pains of withdrawal in section 5, in a few minutes.
Ignorance is simply the silence, or mental void that exists, because of what we don’t understand. Sometimes wisdom is beyond the questions we know to ask. So when we are aware that we need to change, & we let go of what does not serve us, we might find ourselves in an uncomfortable sort of silence. We must not fill it by relapsing into toxic solutions we tried before. If we do, we stay ignorant of the greater picture.
We are each born into a life that is of great value to the world. But then we learn personal & social constructs that separate us from each other, that create competition, & blind us from the amazing roles we are designed to activate & occupy in the interdependent abundance of Nature’s patterns.
Our social constructs of division are not just impotent perceptions. We give them value, & we no longer see that they are mental constructs we invented. We see them as a reality we are dependent on, creating an addiction to faulty social solutions. How we see & value other life determines whether we use our natural powers of compassion, cooperation, respect, & inclusion. Fighting against these powers Nature has built into us, rather than trusting our powers, we wreak havoc on our otherwise naturally empowering patterns & priorities. Social constructs effect every part of our lives – our health, our relationships with each other & with other species, & even our survival as a species on this planet. If we would accept, trust, & align our understandings of ourselves with the patterns, seasons, & cycles that naturally show up in our own lives & all of life, Nature would freely provide & empower our valuable human roles in enhancing & amplifying all life. We would then find ourselves free of collective addictions to values that have built our house of cards.
Great purpose is found in the reality that we are each a part of the whole of nature. In trusting the ways of Nature, we will see how we are to align our role with the rest of nature. Then, we will thrive, & no longer be addicted to the illusion of scarcity. Are you looking to see your best self in each moment, a moment that holds everything that is? Subjective knowledge, the knowledge you glean from & about your experience, when understood with humility & integrity, transcends what is experienced objectively (what is observed outside yourself). Your subjective knowledge can then better include both the objective & the subjective.
To thrive, tune into the center of your control, the center of your power – it is located in whatever grows when you give it away or share it – such as joy, happiness, love, compassion. This power is unconditional to outside factors. To understand the value of other life, filter the objective information you gather about another’s value, filter it through the subjective value you give to your life when you are giving value to the appreciation, love, peace, & nature’s power within you.
The opposite of this, the experience of living in a silo of subjective reality, & believing it is the whole possible experience, is what we call an excessive ego. The ego can see its own wants, & needs. It has narrow goals which do not require values beyond the narrow goal. It looks for external, short-term, & short-sighted ways to meet its goals, often at the cost of others. Everything the ego sees outside itself it sees as for the purpose of itself. Now the ego does have useful, but limited purposes. For example, it can lead you to food, shelter, & water. But a healthy ego stays in its lane. An excessive ego operates outside its lane of purpose. When this happens, it thinks it can give you the information needed for joy or happiness. When it fails, which it will, it tells you that you NEED A SAVIOR, or outside source to provide joy & happiness – these being the potential addictions. It doesn’t know that these are within you, but are not within your ego. So the ego then tries to control what is outside of itself; it tries to control what it cannot control. It feels controlled by what it cannot control, & blames what it cannot control for any unhappiness. Blame blocks access to true power. This is all toxic & addictive.
When intellect is used without wisdom, you ride the pendulum swing of excessive ego- - swinging between the fear of losing outside saviors or addictions, to the arrogance of believing you can create joy & happiness through the addiction to the external savior. Without the antidotes of connection, interdependence, & mutual service with other life, the behaviors & outcomes of the excessive ego reinforce its beliefs.
Our look at the human ego’s ignorance can be taken a step further. If the goal of Nature is to care for & nourish all life that serves the body of Nature, there is no proof that the lives of humans are more necessary than the lives of other species. Because of the ego’s addictive perspective, one can be forced into a false choice of deciding if their own life is more important than those in other species. However, it would be in our best interest, on so many levels, to not compare, but to include the importance of all life in our decisions, including our decisions for sustainable food, health, & nutrition.
We need to let go of any value we give to our addictions. We must value reverence for each life, & give up selfish values that cover up our love & respect for other life. Selfishness covers up the ability to have self-value & self-respect. It covers up the true purposes of your life. We must shift from the ignorance & value-limits of selfishness, to the value opportunities of respect, interdependence, & love. So how can we make this shift? Well, that brings us to sections 4 & 5!
Section 4 is about a powerful, difficult SHIFT we will have to make - shifting from current values reinforcing compartmentalization & human-centrism, to values that will connect us with the abundance in the world.
This is a shift from scarcity to abundance. As we shift our values, our goals will also shift. As we shift our goals, the concept of Growth will be applied to the quality of life, & not to material metrics or competition. Despite addiction to our current systems, values that build the quality of life for all are pushing into the emerging world through those who wisely have reverence for all life, no matter the color, religion, politics, economic status, culture, or even species of any life. The goals & systemic structures involved in growing the quality of life, rather than the quantity of materials, can be called post ‘growth’ goals, as they incentivize a world beyond financial accumulation, a world where the idea of ‘getting more’ is about more quality & value for each life. Before I continue about this shift, I want to preview section 5.
Section 5 will be about the discomfort of Withdrawal, as we let go of our addiction to current systems, & shift into new values & new goals.
We will have a period of time when we, as individuals, & as a species, will experience the discomfort of withdrawal -to the degree of our addiction. This is normal & natural. It is a letting go of the old fuels from outdated incentives, the old internal energy source. And the twist is that the letting go has to occur without yet knowing the new incentives, or payoffs, in a concrete way. We can’t know what something feels like until we feel it. We can feel it in our heart, but that is not the practical pay off in the physical world. And there WILL BE payoffs in the real world - beyond having enough food, shelter, & water for all. So we won’t intellectually know the new way to define success, or to look for incentives. We have to use our ethical wisdom to look forward, until we can see & feel the incentives & successes of wise value systems in a concrete way. It is like when a child is given quiet-time. We must “go to our rooms & think about what we’ve done, & what we really want”. During this time, we can find the wisdom to understand the values existing in Nature (& thus within ourselves) that serve to energize & fuel the emergence of what we want. What we must not do is get caught up in the discomfort of change.
Discomfort DOES NOT mean danger.Thinking discomfort is danger would lead us to fear, & to relapsing back into old, worn-out destructive patterns & values. When you feel bad & overwhelmed, as if there are no answers, well, inside the box of addictive understandings, there were no answers. Let the feeling of overwhelm be, & move forward with trust, until you see that the box opens. I promise, it will. Don’t get overwhelmed & revert back into the blindness trapped in a box of fear.
So what is this Shift of section 4?
(SEE BELOW)
s
So what is this Shift of section 4?
We must now shift from scarcity producing systems to participating in nature’s value dependent systems of abundance. We have been misaligned with the values of life that would support us. The world we need to support us does not support compartmentalized, human-centric values (it can't). By compartmentalizing ourselves & our species as apart from, or above, other lives, we organized ourselves from an unsupported human-centric point of view, & we created unnecessary scarcity for ourselves. The idea that the world is human-centric is an illusion. Each moment holds everything, all resources – in balance.
Human life is not the goal of all life.We have been like a cell seeing itself as the goal of the body. Greedily eating the host, we were destroying what supports us, becoming a cancer cell. We must shift, to align & cooperate with the life of nature that supports us, or we will end ourselves.
Ghandi said, QUOTE "Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not everyman’s greed.” END QUOTE This is easy to hear, but difficult to orient around. We have been attempting to create growth according to the metrics of a limited materials economy, where ‘getting more’ here requires scarcity there, creating increased competition & scarcity for some – a lose / lose for all over time. We must shift the values defining “growth” from financial accumulation, to values which create goals that can be measured beyond financial metrics. Valuing empathy gives us wisdom & intelligence to create healthy goals, systems, & purposes to support all life. Mai mo ni des said, QUOTE “It should not be believed that all beings exist for the sake of the existence of man. “END QUOTE
A shift to the values that create abundance, is a shift to the values found in Nature, where the quality of each life is understood to impact the quality of every life. I will say more about these values in section #6. This will shift us into a world where abundance in one space or life does not create scarcity in another. Ironically, this shift emerges when we acknowledge the limits of what we know. Don't judge ignorance, but acknowledge it. Humility opens the door to wisdom. Arrogance is blinding; but honesty opens us to see reality, to see love & to see more of nature’s abundant gifts for life.
We must shift from compartmentalization to wholeness. No life is excluded from the web of life operating together. This is a "mystery of life". Recognize that a human brain can’t understand or know the scope of the meaning of "all life". However, our brains do know that we must have Reverence for all life if we want to survive over time.
We have been objectifying nature, rather than understanding our role, responsibility, & power within it.We must shift our psychology. To be a valuable species in Nature, we must become a functional species in the movement & operations of the collective body of life. But ask yourself, “Do my values place one life over another?” In the moments that you believe you can judge the value of one life over another, or one group over another, those are moments you have stepped away from the values that build your best position in relation to others.
Embrace the amazing fact that you exist & are alive, & then do this for every life! This expands your mind beyond a human-centric understanding. As you grow in awe of your life, you can also observe that everything you experience within yourself is deeply true beyond just your specific life.
Think about what your goals are, what you wish for, what you want. Healthy desires are for goals that create meaning, purpose, happiness, connection, & more. What values do these goals hold, beyond what money can buy? Those are the kind of values that will create the systems where no child will starve.
Are your thoughts in sync with both the will to live & the will to love? If not both, then neither. If not both, there is a facade of selfishness, covering up the depth of yourself that loves & respects yourself & others. Only in recognizing & respecting the self-love of other life can we love ourselves. Love is not selfish, it is self-respecting. It is the most powerful instrument to change & build world systems of well-being for ourselves & for all life.
Finding our human role lies in the balance of knowing our power, & knowing our interdependence. This is where we find the wisdom of Nature that sustains us. It is our place of security WITHIN NATURE, a place of peace. & I’ll talk more about this in the next section when I explain the withdrawal process from addiction.
The power of mother nature to create life is much greater than the power of humans to destroy life. We are given the power to impact others, but only to a degree. Nature heals & re-balances itself, despite what we destroy. We have the choice to kill or create. If we kill what sustains us, rather than creating sustenance, we kill off our species. Nature perfectly allows us the ability to impact that which sustains our life – meaning we collectively choose life or death.
Clear outcomes will be created by our choice to trust & participate in Nature's balanced system, or to believe we are external & can manufacture outcomes external to the laws of Nature. We cannot kill off Nature. We cannot change Nature's laws. We can kill ourselves by destroying that which supports us.
When we participate in Nature’s rhythms, the cycles of nature will enhance & amplify our roles in the body of life, freeing us from greed, hoarding, & fear. But as long as we value quantity over quality, we will disregard the priority of life for all, & we will decrease the value & quality of our own life & our ripple effect into the world. Life is about embracing all life in this moment’s note in the on-going song of life, a song we want to continue.
Life is not about the length of time to be alive. It is about the degree you are alive now. Even if we consciously value quantity over quality, by disregarding the priority of quality for all, we increase the risk of limited quantity for ourselves. This is the wholeness cycle of life in its perfection & unity.
Section 5 – There is an uncomfortable Withdrawal that occurs when we let go of addictions, including addictions to our current systems. The withdrawal is in the space & time between letting go of old, & discovering new, values, systems, & goals. We must accept & embrace the uncomfortable power of our shift, recognizing it is, like an earthquake or hurricane, it is a powerful reorganization in nature. The difficult phases, or seasons, of our shift must be accepted, just as we accept the seasons of nature.
In the upheaval of change, let go of fear that may appear. If you fear & don’t accept change, it will be difficult to understand, & align with the power, abundance, & purpose of change. When hope is added to fear, the chemical energy of fear in your body is literally transformed into power. Take time to rest, to look within, to see & feel yourself being fully present in being alive, in being valuable, & in letting go of the illusions of scarcity. When you relax, you find energy. You are a part of abundance. You will thrive, without yet knowing what it means to truly thrive. Acknowledge a new kind of freedom.
Although we wish for the power & intelligence of nature, we have relied on the limited information that can fit onto the pages of books, & we used this limited information to understand the world of nature that is not limited to what words can explain. The concepts of reality in your head are only the sum of what your brain knows. But reality is bigger. We are a part of something greater than our lives, & we try to understand this greater presence. We want to understand life in the universe in order to be in the balance & harmony of Nature’s systems. But only when we let go of any illusion & fear of separation will we see the power in life, beyond our previous addictions. Listen to your heart for more information to begin to fill the gaps. Typically, the information in your head is data that can be put onto a page. But the information in your heart is alive. Let your head tune into the channel of your heart. Be brave. This allows you to move in the security of
LOVE’S CONNECTIVE TISSUE.
Consider these seeming contrasts: Think about your body. It is when you sleep, doing nothing with your intelligence, that your body naturally does most of its healing. It is because of the backdrop of silence that we can hear the sounds appear. It is because of the underlying consistency of Nature’s cycles & balance, that human impact appears. When you are afraid love is scarce, remember that it is in every moment that Love's sound-waves are alive. We must trust & learn in a new way, if we want to better understand & reap the benefits of Nature's abundance.
Nature’s operating systems require mutual cooperation, meaning human systems must cooperate with Nature’s other systems. Man-made systems that ignore the intelligent power of Nature are, of course, limited in power. They contain finite components of the great resources & patterns of Nature. Using Nature as a guide to inform & empower our choices, we can be powerful beyond what we have yet imagined. The interdependence of Nature, ongoing throughout time, is what we arose from & can’t escape. For humans, we best recognize the ways of Nature when we use a mind of unconditional love. Love is our best awareness of what Mother Nature is up to. This is the framework to understand the connective tissue of Mother Nature, holding all life in balance.
PAUSE
In section 6, I was going to go over several of the values in nature’s value system.
But this video has gotten long, & so I’m going to skip to section 7, about collective engineering. For a deep dive into the values of Nature, for now, please take a look at the video on this channel titled [look at phone] ‘Values of Nature – Aligning Human Psychology & values To Empower Well-being’. I will also post the video link in a pinned comment below, & at the end of this video. It is also listed in the playlist here titled Nature’s Power & Our Relationship With Mother Earth.
Section 7
Collective Engineering
We are all engineers collectively creating our experiences.
We create, learn from our creations, & create more. For the human experience to be sustainable, we must give value to, align with, learn from, & follow the systems, patterns, & rhythms of Nature, as they engineer & nourish us & the whole fabric of life. Otherwise we will deplete ourselves of peace, & of the physical resources which sustain us.
In this section I’m going to describe a few collective engineering values of nature that could help humans engineer sustainable trajectories. But please do see the video on Values, where I take a deep dive into several more. Many are not what we are accustomed to.
As we engineer systems, we must give value to the desire of each life to be alive. Our Natural & best state of life requires embracing the idea that the will to live is not unique to anyone or to any species. Stretch your mind to see & respect the fullness, the importance, & the potential of each life. Our will to live, & our ability to think, gives us the ability to value empathy. Valuing empathy shows us a part of reality that our collective engineering has, thus far, generally ignored. Every being alive is choosing to be alive, because of the will to live. Our will to live is only as good as our will to value the will of others to live. This value is needed to engineer harmonizing within nature's support for all life.
We can see that, although humans have used human-centric values, we must expand intellectually beyond compartmentalized contexts, & embrace the reality that all lives of all species are completely interdependent. All live according to the values of a Whole- Nature context, & not a human-centric context. We have the intellectual ability to do better, to construct accurate values from the reality of a Whole-Nature context. Whole of Nature values design a mental infrastructure that allows us to engineer systems & lifestyles synchronized within Nature’s abundance.
For humans, it is only because of thought (our own & others) that we can stay alive. Which thoughts do you most value? What thoughts lead you to understand the value of your life? Apply these thoughts to every life. This will increase your empathy & understanding of your own life. Your life is no more relevant than any other. So, to devalue any other life is a step towards devaluing your own life, & Visa Versa - to devalue your own life is a step toward devaluing others. One life cannot be detached from all life. All life generates all life.
Everything you touch:
you are a caretaker of, interdependent with, & impacted by – in some capacity. The evidence is the history of your life, & even the history of the planet from which you emerged & are evolving from.
WE must value & understand COLLECTIVE CREDIT. No single life gets credit for anything. No one can offer anything without all the input they have been given from others along the way. In the current moment, all of life is playing its part to engineer the current reality. Every life gets credit. In this way, we develop respect, & love to collectively engineer a world of peace. As Love evolves, the fabric of unity is ever-emerging a new world & new forms of safety. Life is a group project.
Nature values the information & wisdom Compassion provides. Whether your compassion is externally witnessed by others or not, it is an active experience within yourself, informing you about how to connect with others in ways that benefit you, according to what benefits all. When you activate compassion, it improves your mind, emotions, & life, & it benefits those around you. This enriches your entire world experience. Compassion is not controlled by, or dependent on anything toxic, just as love is not conditional to anything toxic.
Compassion is a creative volition, a will power, broader than yourself, that activates you to participate in the magnificent power of the whole world valuing all life. Even someone living
alone in the woods, or on a mountain, or on the sea, they still have active compassion. The experience of compassion, of a will power to embrace all life, reveals a broader wisdom. When you think or feel you are alone, compassion makes you understand you are an important part of ALL life.
Another value for engineering is SAFETY. We can only experience true safety when we are aligned with the protective, life affirming fabric of Nature. This form of safety can be difficult to imagine. It is a paradigm of paradox. Where we are not in control of other life, we are most able to have self-control. Lives emerging in this safety paradigm further engineer the fabric of safety. It is in the darkness of night we see the most star light. Take a moment to shut your eyes. Paaaussse….When you can’t see the division & separation of things, you can more easily comprehend that everything is connected, as one whole. And you can sense the background of a calm silence, some would say a nonduality, & out of this silence we can then safely experience the sounds, the active systems we are engineering, what some would call the healthy dualities that can exist & nourish the human experience.
ALL ENERGY & RESOURCEs, combined together have engineered what we are experiencing NOW. Facts are resources. All facts connected together are the manifestation of now. We cannot know them all. All reality, & all of life, is the expression of all facts. Any life that we value less than our own is a sign of our ignorance to reality, & thus our ignorance of safety.
By trusting the complex body & movements of Nature, & by cooperating within its patterns of collective well-being, we can personally experience the best of ourselves & uplift others for the best of our world, no matter the situation. The rest of nature humbly trusts nature’s unity & harmony. By trusting value driven thinking, & value driven intelligence, our ideas & contexts about time, space, relationships, resource sharing, & even abstract ideas, will lead us towards the tools required to engineer the collective well-being we desire. We will learn to trust, empower, & not restrict, the inherent potential of every life. We will no longer compete for strength or potentials. Our thoughts & behaviors will uplift the strengths & potentials of all others.
Nature is A perfectly balanced engineering system of all life. Every detail has a purpose. Some are less appealing, until we eventually are opened up to the bigger picture. Each species is a valuable part of Nature’s body of systems. This system is carefully engineering its cycles, patterns & seasons in order to best allocate its inter-related resources for the benefit of all life – the whole body of Nature. Nature values each life, & It operates to fulfill & empower the interdependency of all, as a whole system.
The harmony of all Nature’s wisdomsis the global song of peace. It always exists. For humans, we feel it with our hearts, our instruments.
All physical life is in harmony with Nature’s rhythms. We are each a protagonist in action with the flow of nature. If we are mentally antagonistic to this, if we fight Nature’s rhythm & power in our lives, we will be unwell. We can't be both in harmony with life & antagonistic to life.
Instead of asking, “How do we survive, despite the values & patterns of Nature or the seasons of life?”, ask instead, “How do we align our intentions for our own lives WITH the values, patterns & seasons of all life we are embedded in?” If we calm ourselves, & live now in the ways we hope, for the future, Nature will guide us. Trust & align with natures rhythms, & we will thrive in the patterns & seasons of life, beyond our expectations.
And now I’m going to condense the video into 90 seconds or so.
*The wisdom on the pages of books is humans' way of trying to understand the wisdom of nature.
*The rest of nature humbly trusts unity's harmony.
*Because of intellect, we ride the pendulum of excessive ego- swinging from the belief in "destruction" by behavior grown from excessive ego, to "salvation" by arrogant ego,
*not seeing that it is in the resting point - the Shanti- we are truly saved from illusion of scarcity.
*From the background of Void's calm silence (nonduality) we can safely experience the sounds we are creating (duality).
*To deny the silence is to ignore the greater framework.
*From silence, Love's sound waves arise.
*Get quiet from any illusion of fear or separation - then see the unity of harmony.
*No single one gets credit for evolved Love; every as One gets all credit - as Love's evolution is increased Oneness.
* Rest in the Shanti, & we find the Shakti - energy of the Supreme Reality – the all-pervasive deeper reality

CYCLES, SEASONS, PATTERNS VIDEO
Define:
Cycle –fluctuations, not fixed
Season-calendar, fixed, can predict to a degree, while maybe not knowing the point in the cycle.
Pattern-can choose our pattern of thought & behavior. By choosing thought, we guide emotion (see other video)
Eg., seasons of our lives happen within the cycles of nature. Everything is intertwined. We control only our part.
Add As cycles evolve, each season is seen with new eyes. A migration of sorts, from evolving cycles, holding various repeating seasons. As each ccycle is a higher evolution, the seasons increase in patience for the difficult, and meaning in the lessons.
"To surrender a goal does not mean to automatically lose it. What is illusive via greed often effortlessly materializes as a consequence of evolving to a higher level of consciousness." D Hawkins
“Devotion develops wisdom, patience, and forbearance with experience. Because of focus, it also develops skill and aptitude for processing the levels of consciousness as they are encountered” Hawkins. “Devotion learns to expect periods of delay or discouragement as well as moments of doubt or fear.”
"Motivation, plus integrity, "result in the self-honesty and conviction necessary to transcend the seduction of transitory emotional payoffs of the transigent ego." D Hawkins
Intention, plus integrity, plus motivation, plus devotion equal a powerful pattern of thought that overcomes all obstacles to knowing there is a purpose to each season in each cycle..
All people live in a pattern of experience. The main variable is in thought patterns they use to define their experience. The thought pattern selection reflects a cycle of consciousness which also holds chosen perceptions, values, and determines capacity for comprehension and goal setting.
In most cycles of consciousness, everything appears to be defined in terms of cause and effect. However, one cannot leave out the magnetic pull of future reality. Reality includes past, present AND FUTURE. Not just driven, but also pulled.
A cycle of seeing the seasons of love in the world, to a cycle of seeing the seasons of love in your inner self. Pattern of thought.
Get love (cycle, an illusion of limited love, with harsh seasons of seeking and grabbing) to Allow love (cycle, requires acceptance, honesty, boundaries, with seasons of more ease)
To go from withdraw from discomfort, to recontextualize it, to find an inner purpose in the experience. SPiritual truth-become it, not just conform to it.
Put in present moment part??
(over the time of the c,s,p, each moment is of value, but it’s value is because it exists as a part of the whole.)
Compatmentalized sight, apart from the whole, gives a very ignorant understanding of the present moments value.)
We value a tree at the point in it’s life cycle according to what the lumber is worth in that moment. From nature’s point of view, all of the p, s, c, of the tree – all that it nourishes in those, over time, are inherent in the tree. Lifes it gives homes to, oxygen cleaner, shade, temperature manager, allows many life forms to flourish (as we could). Seen as a whole life, natures gives value. Humans value according to commodity value, money metric – a snapshot in time, of one way iot is a tool for our financial goals. This is a vey limited ability to see the trees value.
Success of narrow metrics, at the cost of wider landscare of metrics that coule and would help uplift all life. But instead, success of the narrow metrics that uplife short term goals,= that are in the closed feedback loop that will eventually destroy themselves.
For humans to engineer systems that align with our best interest, and that of all life:
Coordination as main goal =
Competition as main goal= race to the bottom
Every season of your life has a purpose. Some patterns in the season you can control, but most you can’t. Thus, it is in your best interest to allow your life’s foundation to be the s,c,p Nature has for you. Nature created and undergirds you. From this recognition, you can embrace and build your life with more ease and joy, despite what may seem like overwhelming seasons and cycles within and around you.

Humans ask ourselves, "How should we understand nature, in order to save ourselves?'" This is the wrong question, if we want to save ourselves. The better question is, "How do we best understand nature, in order to respect the purpose & meaning of each life in the world?" This is how we save ourselves!
Nature offers a more balanced way of life than modern human life. We have separated from our power to move & work within Nature, to lift each other in the flow of life. Technology can be used to assist us in perceiving & re-connecting wiht the seasons of the Earth’s Garden we are growing from, or dying in.
Eg, Hunters & gatherers did not try to control their habitat. They knew they were a part of it. (anchor to traject from in a new way)
During a tsunami, "Just like the wild animals in Sri Lanka that fled for higher ground just before the tsunami hit, the Jarawa people knew how to read the signals oof nature. They fled into the hills, and most survived." How can we do this today?
Like partners in a dance of sustained engagement, Nature leads this dance. We follow, or trip and fall.
We are knowledgeable only in where we acknowledge our ignorance.

(micro) …
symptomatic problems are like a façade (illness - found from remnants of lack of wellness) - the outcomes of the actual problems. (they are important, but they are not within the foundation of the structure.)
(Primary element (or goal?) of nature is to align all elements to serve each other. (give an example where the primary element is also the emergence- and is the primary goal) Secondary is gain for each, but which occurs on both the micro and macro level, when the primary goal is accurate. Human primary goal is gain, and secondary is align, which is like (give an example where the primary goal/element goal prohibits the secondary/collective goal)
We see time as scarcity -> short-term goals
Nature sees time as abundant and makes goals of long-term/all-term.
Nature does not make current goals at the cost of future goals.
The essential problems found in the foundation of our man-made patterns and understandings. "As we know life in ourselves, we want to understand life in the universe, in order to enter into harmony with it." Schweitzer
physical - known by the sense.
spiritual - known by the observation of that which begins within ourselves, but apart from the physical
We can hope that human life is one of the components that can always exist, when harmony is it's manifestation. And we can know that when human life refuses to exist in a harmonious universe, it ceases to exist as human life, & it's life energy becomes some other form/component of harmony.
Ghost Dancers at Wounded Knee, "Mother Nature is all powerful, & eternity is on her side. What are the inventions of man, the lofty cities which he raises on the borders of the desert, the terrible weapons that he uses to realize and defend his conquests? Nothing, but a little heaped-up dust which the great natural forces always tend to restore to its primeval form. Forsake the citadel for a few years, abandon the canon or machine gun for a few months in the prairie, and soon grass and brambles will have overgrown the stones, and rust corroded the hard steel. In how many former times have vast solitudes been peopled by powerful cities! Of them today remain no more than the ruins themselves finally disappear back into the eternally virgin earth. Of what importance are the men who pass? The Spirit has only to blow on them and they will be no more! Then the sons of the earth will repossess the Earth. And the past time will begin over again as the new time!" South Dakota (place of the infamous Sioux massacre in 1890)

The economy of Nature uses TIME as a construct to structure & support the cycles, patterns, & seasons of life. Time is the structure out of which each moment surfaces. And so it is important that we learn to connect & flow, both personally & socially in time, with the patterns that Nature places within each of our lives,
within our species, & that our species is placed within.
While each moment over time is of its own value, our ability to participate with, & uplift life IS IN the Present moment. We can plan for the future, & we can look to the past for lessons. But unless we live in the Present, according to the values we want in the future, we will not have the future we want. Our choices in each Present moment decide what door we open to take our next step.
Nature is a collective of single moments, if you will. Each moment is valued as the current expression of Nature –All facts connected together (the collective of everything) create The Present moment. The expression of all facts, joined together, is alive right now. The collective of all life is the expression of all facts. Discounting any moment of life is a sign of ignorance.
Life is not about the length of time we are alive.Life is about living now, the degree of life in the present. Embrace life in this moment’s note in the on-going song of life, a song we want to continue. By participating in Nature’s rhythms, the cycles of nature do enhance & amplify our roles in the body of life, freeing us from greed, hoarding, & fear.
Even if we value quality over quantity, if we disregard the priority of quality of life for all, we increase increase the risk of limited quantity for ourselves, and we decrease the value & quality of our ripple effect into the world.
The definition of your life is in the degree of wholeness, the degree you are living in harmony now. Life is not about the length of time to be alive. The cycle of life in its perfection of wholeness. oneness.
If you don't address the powerful patterns inside of yourself, it will be difficult to understand, accept, & align with the power & purpose of the powerful patterns outside of yourself. Take a present moment to rest, to look within, to see & feel yourself being fully present in being alive & valuable.
Life is not about achievement, as we are already alive. The task is complete. The best existence now is to live in full in this moment. In each moment. No absolute rules defining an achievement of quality life. It is an ethical recognition. Achievement is completion. Life is a process, not a completion!
3
Trust the patterns and priorities of Nature. Values beyond current ideas of growth. Grow the value of life, of all life, not the value of possessions. In this way, you can have more ease in the ups and downs of emotion and comforts. A new pattern, a new cycle. Nature's values will be birthed in us.
We are born into interconnected, valuable lives. But then we learn personal & social constructs that separate us from each other & blind us from the amazing roles we are designed to activate & occupy in the abundance of Nature. When we wont acknowledge our dependence on the laws of nature, we end up fighting against our own best interests. This effects every part of our lives – our health, our relationships with each other & with other species, & even our survival as a species on this planet. If we would align ourselves with the patterns, seasons, & cycles of our own best interests, & all of life, Nature would empower our valuable human roles in enhancing & amplifying all life.
Demanding comfort blinds us from the ability to learn from the discomfort. Don’t give any value to shallow smears of selfishness that cover up the love & respect for life you are capable of. Selfishness covers up the ability to have self-value & self-respect. It covers up your true purposes in life.
We choose between the ignorance & limits of selfishness, or the opportunities of respect, interdependence, & love.
Our will to live is only as good as our will to love others will to live. This is the harmony of life, of nature's flow
If we value the comfortable seasons, we must also trust there is value in the uncomfortable times. Each moment has value and purpose. But it is only because of thought(our own or others) that we can see this. What are the thoughts of the value of each season? One is no more relevant than another. So to devalue one, is to step towards devaluing all, blinding ourselves from the purposes of each. One season cannot be detached from the needs of life.
4
Reality - everything alive is choosing to be alive, and is cooperating in the c,s,p of Nature. We are sustained by the c,s,p of Nature. And we are being used in nature’s c,p,s, whether we find purpose in them and like it or not; whether we choose to cooperate or fight against them and lose our place in them). Our liberty is found in accepting reality and then doing our best to cooperate & thrive within it. We choose to cooperate with the c,p,s, and to what degree - with joy, or despair. Lasting Joy is most found in cooperation with reality. If joy is dependent, it is fleeting and creates fear & insecurity. Our desire for happiness can / is more powerful than our desire for things/events to be our selfish way. Honesty to oneself is required = integrity. Out of accepting reality our trust & faith can grow. Reality is the seed we choose to be fed by, or not. Reality is the reality of All..
If we don't cooperate with nature’s patterns we are a part of, we become toxic, and we will not survive the cleansing cycle of Nature.
ALl s,c,p, connected together, are the manifestation of now. We cannot know the importance of them all. Discovery of patterns is the discovery that there are more than we know of. Reality, & all of life is the expression of all facts. Any moment we value less than others is a sign of our ignorance. Don't judge ignorance as bad. But see IT as reality, and this helps it to cease. Appreciation for the unknown increases joy and hope and love in the experience of life's gift of life. Love is a part of reality.
5 (Is this 1 or 5?)
as we work with the cycles of nature, we are part of a process that enhances and amplifies life. It is life-affirming and humble (from
humus
, earth) work that supports our place in the web of life. On the other hand, greed, hoarding - out of fear that we can't rust the patterns.
Instead of asking, “How do we survive,
despite the cycles of Nature or the seasons of life?”, let’s ask ourselves, “How do we align our intentions for our own lives WITH the cycles, seasons, & patterns of all life we are embedded in?”
Our Natural & best state of being is in understanding our will to live as our part within the greater whole. Ethics - to be alive & in purpose. The only real purpose is found in the reality that we are each a part of the whole of nature. Am I looking to see my best self in this moment, the moment as holing everything (not just holding me)?
The harmony of all Nature’s cycles, seasons, patternsis the global song of peace. It always exists. For humans, we feel it with our hearts, our instruments.
Are my thoughts in harmony with the will to live AND the will to love? If not both, then neither. Otherwise, it is a facade - a shallow smear of selfishness covering up the self that loves & respects self/other.
Use The Natural rhythm of life as a guide to empower yourself to make choices that are powerful beyond what you can imagine in a given moment. Nature operates in the present, and trusts the greater seasons, cycles, and patterns.
The seasons of our lives must be trusted & accepted, just as those of nature. If we don't productively harness the power of the emotional, thought, and behavioral patterns of ourselves (our weather), we will never understand & accept the power of the patterns outside. We have internal weather pattenrs like the weather outside. Humans are each menus, and uniue motivation and triggers. We must choose wise motivations, and care for triggers. If a cycle is _______ we choose a pattern.
Nature has cycles which build upon each other. Sometimes we know the reasons for our own cycles in life, & sometimes we don’t. The snowflake knows a bit about winter. But if the snowflake doesn’t know its grander purpose, it doesn’t know it is water, & so it fears it will die in the spring. But it doesn’t die; it transforms! Each of our lives also goes through cycles. We must learn to trust & accept that there is purpose in all cycles and the seasons of our lives, even the most difficult.
Seasons:
intention- tune in to match both nature's pace and position
1st Draft to here 1234567890-=1234567890-=
How do we do this?
We must trust Nature’s cycles; we can’t control them. No amount of effort will make Nature’s patterns orient around humans. "We like to imagine that man is nature's goal: but facts do not support that belief." Albert Schweitzer. We can calm ourselves, & live now in the ways we hope for the future. Nature will guide us in this responsibility.
healthy rhythms for our species can emerge from our relationship with nature's rhythms - being in rhythm with her.
Rhythms (importance) write the synchronicity in connection/relationships. Tune in to cooperate, share attention, regulate emotion, safety.
Newborn-suck, swallow, breath, baby moves with parent's voice
planets, moons, suns
breath, heartbeat, spinal fluid - rhythm
mother's heartbeat supports sensory integration
How to join rhythms? Several factors.
match/pace/co-regulate
fighting connection/alignment with Nature's rhythm causes the sense of a chaotic tempo. Come back to Nature’s rhythm
The healthiest version of ourselves operates in rhythm with nature -- if interrupted=> taught to oppose, we lose regulation ability
To choose harmony, or to choose angst/denial of the reality that we are embedded together. This is where we find freedom from self destruction.
Pace - felt
tune-in - is it fast or slow?
sense of arousal
processing takes time.
rhythm - reciprocal engagement and impact for security
rhythmic promotes empathy

affect - experience of emotion in the rhythm. If no sync, can change emotion
Patterns:
fear (-> over attention /blame) or devalue -> under attention /ignore)
You can't be both in harmony with life and antagonistic to life. Your actual life is in harmony, a protagonist, in action with, the flow of nature. If you are internally against this, or not in flow, you will be un-well in one or more ways. We are each one, but added together we create systems. When we create antagonistic systems, we create confusion. WE lose our wisdom of what is the higher truth. The truth is that love is nature's operating system. We know only a little about love, and so we think of it as an abstract factor - not real. We want the power of nature. But man-made systems are limited. They only contain components or the great resources and patterns of nature. and so we loose the benefit's of nature's abundance, and we create scarcity. We have then forced ourselves into limited compartments. Our compartmentalized systems force a choice between the will to live and the will to love- rather than clinging to both as the seeds for our systems.
Clarity comes from the harmony we create then we are protagonists (willing actors in nature).
Human species has difficulty achieving synchronicity with the rest of nature's rhythms

Below is the old, I blieve
Humans ask ourselves, "How should we understand nature, in order to save ourselves?'" This is the wrong question, if we want to save ourselves. The better question is, "How do we best understand nature, in order to respect the purpose & meaning of each life in the world?" This is how we save ourselves!
Our Natural & best state of being is in understanding our will to live as our part within the greater whole. Ethics - to be alive & in purposse. The only real purpose is found in the reality that we are each a part of the whole of nature. Am I looking to see my best self in this moment, the moment as holing everything (not just holding me)?
Are my thoghts in harmony with the will to live AND the will to love? If not both, then neither. Otherwise, it is a facade - a shallow smear of selfishness covering up the self that loves & respects self/other.
If we value our own life, we must value others. Each person alive today values their life - some more loosly than others. But it is only because of thought(our own or others) that we can stay alive. What are the thoughts of the value of life, if we do not value that of others. Ours is no more relevent than theirs. So to devalue another, is to step towards devaluing our own. To devalue our own is to step toward devaluing theirs. (people or other species). One life cannot be detached from the life in general.
We are being used by nature, whether we like it or not; whether we choose to cooperate or fight (& lose). Our liberty is found in accepting reality and then doing our best to cooperate & thrive within it. We cannot do this if it destroys that which we are within. Thant is like a cancer thining it can survive eating it's host. Joy is most found in cooperation with reality, not in happy events outside our selves. If joy is dependent, it is fleeting and creates fear & insecurity. Our desire for happiness can / is more powerful than our desire for things/events to be our selfish way. Honesty to oneself is required = integrity. Out of accepting reality our trust & faith can grow. Reality is the seed we choose to water, or not. Reality is the reality of All..
Reaity - everything alive is choosing to be alive.
ALl facts connected together are the manifestation of now. We cannot know them all. Discovery of facts is the discovery that there are more than we know of. And yet, reality, & all of life is the expression of all facts. Any life that we value less than our own is a sign of our ignorance to reality. Don't judge ignorance as bad. But see it as reality, and this helps it to cease. Ignorance hampers/ hinders the experience of life's gift of life. Love is a part of reality.
We are knowlegable only in where we acknowledge our ignorance.
We choose to live, and to what degree - with joy, or despair.
To choose harmony, or to choose angst/denial of the reality that we are embedded together. This is wehre we find freedom from self destruction.
If we don't cooperate with the nature we are a part of, we become a cancer, and we will not survive the surgical removal of us as cancer.
as we work with the cycles of nature, we are part of a process that enhances and amplifies life. It is life-affirming and humble (from
humus
, earth) work that supports our place in the web of life. On the other hand, greed, hoarding - out of fear that we can't rust the cycles.
our willl to live is only as good as our will to love others will to live. This is the harmony of life, of nature's flow
You can't be both in harmony with life and antagonistic to life. Your actual life is in harmony, a protagonist, in action with, the flow of nature. If you are internally against this, or not in flow, you will be un-well in one or more ways. We are each one, but added together we carete systems. When we create antagonistic systems, we create confusion. WE losse our wisdom of what is the higher truth. The truth is that love is nature's operating system. We know only a little about love, and so we think of it as an abstract factor - not real. We want the power of nature. But man-made systems are limited. They only contain components or the greate resources and patterns of nature. and so we loose the benefit's of nature's abundance, and we create scarcity. We have then forced ourselves into limited compartments. Our compartmentalized systems force a choice between the will to live and the will to love- rather than clinging to both as the seeds for our systems.
Clarity comes from the harmony we creat hen we are protagonists (willing actors in nature).
facade problems (illness - found from remnants of lack of wellness) - the outcomes of the actual problems. (they are important, but they are not within the foundation of the structure.)
Use The Natural rhythmn of life as a guide to empower yourself to make choices that are powerful beyond what you can imagine in a given moment. Nature operates in the present, and trusts the greater seasons, cycles, and patterns.
The essential problems found in the foundation of our man-made patterns and understandings. "As we know llfe in ourselves, we want to understand life in the universe, in order to enter into harmony with it." Schweitzer
physical - known by the sense.
spiritual - known by the observation of that which begins within ourselves, but apart from the physical
No amount of effort can make nature orient around humans.
"We like to imagine that man is nature's goal: but facts do not support that belief." Albert Schweitzer
In nature, Love is more powerful than life (e.g., parent wisdom/ strength /purpose). You can see this. Humans tend to choose life over love (selfish / limited mind). This is one reason humans can't fully understand the priorities of nature.
Maybe human life is one of the components that can always exist, when harmony is it's manifestation. When human life refuses to exist in a harmonious universe, it ceases to exist as human life, & it's energy becomes some other form/component of harmony.
The seasons of our lives must be trusted & accepted, just as those of nature. If we don't address the power of the weather inside ourselves, we will never understand & accept the power of the weather outside.
To live in wholeness - the definition of life is in the moment of now - to live in harmony now. Life is not about the length of time to be alive. Life is about now, and the degree of life in the now. Even if we consciously value quantity over quality, by disregarding the priority of quality for all, we increase the risk of limited quantity for ourselves. The cycle pof life in its perfection of wholeness. oneness.
Life is not about achievement, as we are already alive. The task is complete. The best existence now is to live in full in this moment. In each moment. No absolute rules defining an achievement of qualtiy ife. It is an ethical recognition. Achievement is completion. Life is a process, not a completion!
During a tsunami, "Just like the wild animals in Sri Lanka that fled for higher ground just before the tsumnami hit, the Jarawa people knew how to read the signals oof nature. Theyy fled into the hills, and most survived."
Nature offers a more balnced way of life than modern human life. Eg, Hunters & gatherers did not try to control their habitat. They knew they were a part of it. We have separated from our power to move & work witin Nature, to lift each other in the flow of life. Technology can be used to assist us in perceiving & re-connecting wiht the seasons of the Garden.
Ghost Dancers at Wounded Kneww, "Mother Nature is all powerful, & eternity is on her side. What aee the inventions of man, the lofty cities which he raises on the borders of the desert, the terrible weapons that he uses to realize and efend his conquests? Nothing, but a little heaped-up dust which the great natural forces always tend to restore to its primeval form. Forsake the citadel for a few years, abandon the canon or machine gun for a few months in the prairie, and soon grass and brambles will have overgrown the stones, and rust corroded the hard steel. In how many former times have vast solitutdes been peopled by powerful cities! Of them today remain no more than the ruins themselves finally disappear back into the eternally virgin earth. Of what importance are the men who pass? The Spirit has only to blow on them and they will be no more! Then the sons of the earth will repossess the Earth. And the past time will begin over again as the new time!" South Dakota (place of the infamous Sioux massacre in 1890)
We see time as scacity -> short-term goals
Nature sees time as abundant and makes goals of long-term/all-term.
Nature does not make current goals at the cost of future goals.
Values beyond current ideas of growth. A new pattern, a new cycle. Nature's values will be birthed in us.
intention- tune in to match both nature's pace and position
fighting connection/alignment with Nature's rhythm causes the sense of a chaotic tempo. Come back to Natru'es rhythm.
Pace - felt
tune-in - is it fasat or slow?
sense of arousal
processing takes time.
healthy rhythms for our species can emerge from our relationship with nature's rhythems - being in rhythm wtith her.
Like partners in a dance of sustained engagement, Nature leads this dance. We follow, or trip and fall.
Rhythms (importance) write the synchronicity in connection/relationships. Tune in to cooperate, share attention, regulate emotion, safety.
Newborn-suck, swallow, breath, baby moves with parent's voice
planets, moons, suns
breath, heartbeat, spinal fluid - rhythm
mother's heartbeat supports sensory integration
rhythm - reciprocal engaement and impact for security
rhythmic promotes empathy
Human species has difficulty achieving synchronicity with the rest of nature's rhythms

drum circle
music - intuitive
Entrainment of heartbeat from eye engaged

What if Earth IS our 'Next' Planet?
...
How many doors do we have to go through before we circle back to remember LOVE Is The POWER We Have To Sustain Our Species?
Is about the language of humans WITHIN the language of Nature. Language is a symbol we use to express ourselves. But it is also an ingredient in emerging values, cultures, & ways of life. Nature can be our language guide as we participate in creation.
Communication shapes identity and self concept.
Life can survive without words.
Words can be used to make life better or worse - as they impact only the mind (and thus decisions & actions that lead to our survival, our destruction, our thriving). Words can be tools for coordination, community, cooperation.
Symbols for communication are for utility purposes.
Symbols can be misused to prove a false separation/division
Wisdom to use symbols when used to understand system
Our words come from our energy. Listen.
Human words are only one style of messaging!!!! Most of Nature uses non-verbal communication, I think.
According to Walking Buffalo, Stoney Tribe, "We saw the Great Spirit's work in almost everything: sun, moon, trees, wind, and mountains. Sometimes we approached Him though these things. Was that so bad? I think we have a true belief in the supreme being, a stronger faith that that of most whites who have called us pagans... Indians living close to nature and nature's ruler are not living in darkness. DID YOU NOT KNOW THAT TREES TALK? Well they do. They talk to each other, and they'll talk to you if you listen. Trouble is white people don't listen. They never learned to listen to the Indians so I don't suppose they'll listen to other voices in nature. But I have learned a lot from trees: sometimes about the weather, sometimes about anumals, sometimes about the Great Spirit."
As I share the ideas in these videos, I want to give a caution: The words I use are only symbols. Most of Nature does not depend on symbols in order to connect. We humans have become dependent on symbols. And so we have made them our savior, poured our fears into them, and are now pros in using them as weapons that create & defend false narratives we hope will bring us to some sort of new reality that puts us in control of Nature & allows us to take more resources than we need, & in a twisted way that begrudgingly justifies the starvation of those who can’t participate; & has an official protocol to justify various types of killing. These narratives have become more real to us than our conscience, thus creating all sorts of individual & relational, cultural, and global problems for humans in relationship with each other and with other parts of Nature. The rest of nature uses symbols, while not creating false narratives. Nature will adjust & survive. We humans have the ability to add so much richness to Nature with our amazing minds. I hope we don’t keep misunderstanding our place, using our minds to become a corrupted cell, taking more than its share, & growing as a cancer that must be removed. And that is why I want to create some videos that express what I believe are some of things we can learn from this amazing body, called Nature, that we are a treasure within. My words are meant to express & not define. Because they are words, they are only symbols. So please use not only your mind to listen, but also the wisdom of your heart.
The wisdom on the pages of books is humans' way of trying to understand the wisdom of nature.
The rest of nature humbly trusts unity's harmony. Because of intellect, we ride the pendulum of excessive ego- swinging from the belief in "destruction" by behavior grown from excessive ego to "salvation" by arrogant ego, not seeing that it is in the resting point we are truly saved from illusion of scarcity. From the background of Void's calm silence, we can safely experience the sounds we are creating. To deny the silence is to ignore the greater framework. From silence, Love's sound waves arise. Get quiet from any illusion of fear or separation, & see the unity of harmony. No single one gets credit for evolved Love; every as all One gets credit - as Love's evolution is increased Oneness.
